Freya Algiz is an electronic musician whose sound exploration is inspired by experimentation with ambient soundscapes, breakbeats and IDM. Born in Estonia, based in Berlin, her musical journey started with experimentation with modular synthesisers as a creative therapy to heal and connect to herself. Her mission is to explore sound as the connection of our inner worlds to our reality as we perceive it. Freya’s work embodies the recognition that the only limitation to ourselves is ourselves and that stepping out of the conformist expectations is the necessary empowerment that everyone deserves.
With a background in Human Rights, her focus is research into re-structuring social and economic systems to enable the development of self-sustainable artist communities. Her interest in spirituality, philosophy, and physics of sound and its power for personal and societal transformation have been her drive for founding a co-operative record label Field Conspiracy, which operates on a democratic and non-hierarchical ownership of the company, democratic decision making process and collectively agreed distribution of funds.

The next podcast on Hydra from Tomashevsky!

Born in 1991. Music has accompanied him since he was a child, he was infected by her older brother, who had a huge collection of cassettes and vinyl records. It was thanks to him that he could listen to pioneers of electronics, rap, jazz or rock.
At the age of 16, he received an electronic music CD and heard Sven Väth for the first time. It wasn’t techno that had before.
Thanks to his cousin he got the opportunity to play in a local club.
At the time, the floors hosted the sounds of Prodigy, Pendulum, Chemical Brothers and minimal from the Minus stable.
In 2011 he started playing seriously. He made his debut playing at a party in the Czech club Redhouse. You could hear him under the alias Teyot D.
His DJ activity is not limited to one style. He plays techno, acid, minimal, tech-house, nu-disco or deep house music. In his sets, he focuses on various effects, hypnotic and minimalist sounds, and attaches great importance to selection.

For the first time in Poland at HYDRA LAIR...

Presenting Bennet!

Bennet is an artist from Karlsruhe, Germany. More than 10 years ago he developed his fascination for electronic music. Since then he shares this passion in clubs, at raves and especially at self-organised events. Lately, after years of playing digital sets, he has also entered the world of mixing vinyl records and fell in love immediately. Besides standing behind the decks and creating a hypnotic effect to catch the crowd, Bennet also spends a lot of time producing his own tracks. His style was decisively influenced by artists like SHDW & Obscure Shape, Hector Oaks and Chlär. He´s mainly known for driving, oldschool techno with aggressive and melodic synth lines. At the same time he enjoys groovy house tunes just as much as heavy industrial sounds.
