This week we’re introducing Eric Carter-Landin, () co-founder and CEO of AdvocacyCon, and President of Angels’ Voices Silenced No More (AVSNM) ().
Eric’s advocacy work began with the loss of his brother Jacob in 1987. That experience drove him to start True Consequences, () a podcast focused on stories of injustice in New Mexico. From there, he founded AVSNM, a nonprofit that provides resources and support to families of the missing and murdered.
AdvocacyCon was Eric’s idea, born from his determination to make sure no family feels the isolation and struggle his own family has endured for nearly four decades. Together with Whitney St. Andre and Melissa Leinweber, he built AdvocacyCon into a space where families, advocates, and professionals come together to connect, learn, and push for change.
Eric also co-hosts WTAF Was My Childhood, a podcast exploring the culture and media of the 80's and 90's.
We’re grateful for Eric’s leadership in shaping AdvocacyCon and his dedication to creating spaces where families and advocates can find both support and solutions.
