There is something beautiful about the colors and flavors of Spring.
Spring risotto with asparagus, peas, and ham, with a strawberry spinach salad and flat bread with roasted tomatoes, goat cheese, and balsamic vinegar.
Sometimes life just calls for rainbow sprinkles, and cake!!!
I made Butter Board for breakfast today with softened butter, goat cheese, swirls of strawberry jam, honey, flaky salt, fresh blueberries, and strawberries. I added some sliced ham and cottage cheese on the side for protein. The homemade bread really put this over the top. This is how all mornings should start.
This is a meal my grandma would be proud of.
Last recipe for 2022 and I think it is a sweet way to end the year. Apple Charlotte with homemade butterscotch sauce. This one comes together with some simple items you most likely have around your home. Read the comments for the recipe
My sweet friend Kimmy and her son came to my house for brunch. So I created a toast board for us, with some added goodies Like Trader Joes chocolate crossiants, and my homemade vanilla sugar scones and my mock version of Devonshire cream.
Working on a new Christmas holiday treat. This is an orange, chocolate chip and ricotta cake. Perfect on a cold morning for breakfast, or wrapped up as a gift.
Tired of the same old breakfast? This breakfast will make your day seem Merry and bright. ( added bonus it only took 10 mins.) I used a Costco croissant, ham, peach jam and Brie chesse. Put it in the oven until it was toasty and melty. Perfect start to the day.
Say Hello to my little friend, The Turkey Wellington. This was elegant and delicious. It was also a fun twist to just a regular roasted Turkey. I started by searing a Turkey breast, wrapped it in prosciutto, added a layer of my homemade stuffing then wrapped it in puff pastry. This one will be on repeat for sure.
I love Thanksgiving dinner as much as the next girl. But truth be told my favorite part of the dinner is leftovers. Todays leftover creation; grilled Brie, apple, and Turkey sandwich, with a side of soup.

Tonight’s dinner, pot roast and roasted carrots with scalloped potatoes.
Perfect Snack for two on a cold night. ( not included but highly recommend warm blanket and a good chick flick.)
Today’s lunch; teriyaki salmon with stirfry noodles. Brought to you by my boy Trevor, because he requested it.
Working on a new scone recipe
Introducing my maple, bacon and pumpkin scone. So good
My favorite 3:00am snack. It’s not fancy but it is simple, delicious, and makes me happy while I binge watch Somebody Feed Phil. Cause who needs to sleep? Also because I will be up again at this time, tell me your favorite Midnight/early morning snack.
Today was Dylan’s first day back to school. So to celebrate I made “Detroit Style Pizza”
It’s square shape and crispy cheesy crust makes this an easy and delicious week night meal. I also love that this style pizza the sauce goes on top.
Is there anything better than cheesy potatoes in a mini cast iron pan? Maybe only fresh peach crumble with whipped cream. Southern dinner for the win! On my dinner plate tonight; fried chicken, roasted broccoli, biscuits and homemade blackberry jam, and my grandma’s cucumber and onions. Followed up by one scrumptious peach crumble.
Because it’s been hot, and it’s summer. We celebrated with waffles Sundaes for Dinner!!!
Without a doubt this is my new favorite summer time salad. It’s light, refreshing, beautiful and goes with almost any dish. Let me introduce you to my ribbon carrot salad
I adore avocado toast but It was time for a toast facelift. Todays breakfast is a mixture of sweet and savory. ( cause I can’t ever decide) ricotta toast with roasted cherry tomatoes and balsamic glaze, and ricotta toast with fresh plums and a hot honey glaze over the top.

Busy Sat. Morning for me. So I whipped up some easy scones to keep my family feeling full this morning. Lemon blueberry with a lemon glaze, chocolate chip and pecan, and cheddar cheese, ham and dill. ( cause savory scones are delicious too)

Homemade ham and cheese hot pockets for lunch today, with 4 dipping sauces; queso dip, bbq ranch, honey Dijon Mayo, and Ceaser. Do you do dipping sauces for your hot pockets? If you do what are you favorites?
My version of a tuna sandwich is packed full of flavor. It is tangy, rich, slightly salty and has a nice bright flavor with the hint of lemon juice. I topped this mayo free tuna salad on a slice of toasted garlic cheddar bread. So good I bet you will want to eat the whole thing. (Find the recipe in the comments)
Grown up Grilled Cheese😍
This sandwich really hits all the spots, it’s crunchy and creamy, sweet, tangy and salty in all the good ways.
Instead of your typical cheddar I swapped it out for Brie. Then added some fried ham and prosciutto, along with some sautéed onions in a balsamic glaze. For the grand finale I put a very thin layer of orange marmalade on both sides of the bread.
Then in my cast iron pan cooked until golden crisp perfection.
Tonight’s dinner….
Sun dried tomato pasta with a Artichoke cream sauce. ( this was super easy to whip up. Easy enough for any weeknight dinner and so over the top delish it would impress any guest. It only took 15 mins to make this from scratch cream sauce. I put my farmers market finds to good use.
Roasted chicken breast with pan sauce, mashed potato purée, and roasted baby carrots and beats.

It’s Mother’s Day weekend and I made a chocolate chip and pecan scone and a peaches and cream scone to kick off my weekend. With a cup of hot tea it’s my favorite weekend splurge.😍
It’s a rainy and chilly day here in the PNW. So I whipped up some warm spinach and artichoke dip to put some sunshine in my soul.
