We would love to connect and collaborate with you if you are a celebrant, photographer, caker, caterer or florist on the Kāpiti Coast NZ. We want to support Kapiti Coast local businesses.

We absolutely love Kapiti. Its beach-to-mountain landscapes provide an incredible backdrop for wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, elopement weddings and honeymoons.

This hands-on educational event will inspire conservation and , and hopefully DarkSky International approval on the .

Mighty thanks to the stellar instructors at Aotearoa Astrotourism Academy, and to our supporters at Kāpiti Coast District Council, Ōtaki Community, Lotto NZ, Kāpiti News, Kapiti Observer, Ōtaki Today, Kāpiti Coast Tourism Industry Group, Māoriland and the crew at Kapiti Budding Astronomers for making it such a success and so much fun.

This July on Kāpiti Coast NZ, you can learn from your astro-heroes at Aotearoa Astrotourism Academy.

Become a qualified guide, taking paying guests and your communities on guided experiences in your own backyard.

This hands-on course, led by some of NZ's top professional , is a stellar opportunity for aspiring amateur astronomers and the members of the
Wellington Astronomical Society and Palmerston North Astronomical Society.

You will enjoy a 2.5 day immersive learning experience including day and night workshops from Prof John Hearnshaw, Dr Pauline Harris, Dr Steve Chadwick Astrophotography and many other super stars.

This training has a special emphasis on , the ancient traditions of , as well as and .

Do you love gazing up at the night sky?

We are super excited about our special Matariki stargazing event held over the weekend of 21-23 July at Arcus venue in the Te Horo Community.

If you enjoy stargazing and want to learn how to identify stars, constellations and planets using binoculars or a small telescope, then this hands-on amateur astronomy and stargazing course, led by some of New Zealand’s top astronomers, is for you.

Open to the public, you will learn how to use a telescope to find constellations, stars, planets and other celestial objects in our skies. Other subjects include Māori astronomy, Te Arorangi Māori, , , and . No previous experience is required.

We are also excited for this course to be included in the Māoriland Matariki Ramaroa Festival programme. Thanks too to Ōtaki Community Board for partial funding.

It was a magical day with CluedUp Events: event management and team building hosting Kaibosh last month at the Arcus venue. We were delighted to get to know Matt and the crew and learn more about their mission to get perfectly good food to people who need it most in the Wellington, Hutt and Kapiti regions. Of course, we shared the day eating good kai. But also we explored what inspires us in life - our personal ikigai - had fun doing CluedUp's brilliant Pipeline event together and stomped around the Arcus property in the sunshine looking at newly planted trees. Thanks Kaibosh for your warm big hearts and smiles.
