Our ambition and ethos has always been to bring people together through music, promoting community, inclusivity and solidarity ✊🏼

Where would you like to see The Hush Club roll up in 2025? We’re particularly considering the more rural communities and smaller towns where maybe this sort of thing doesn’t happen so much 🕺💃🫠

The Hush Club will be looking to continue at Cafe Riva, Southbourne and, license application dependent, the next event may be in May! Brilliant to make this meeting happen with Simon at The Hush Club, Rob at Cafe Riva, and councillors Eleanor Connolly and Cllr George Farquhar tonight.

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch; we’ve passed on your love to Hush Club and Cafe Riva, something they also heard in a council meeting earlier this week. They shared their eagerness to be excellent neighbours and meet the council’s noise expectations.

The message is clear: our community overwhelmingly wants a vibrant music and entertainment scene! Pokesdown, Boscombe, Southbourne and Tuckton News, Southbourne Forum

On Tuesday evening the community petition containing 4500 local signatures in support of our events at Cafe Riva Southbourne was presented to BCP Council for debate in the chamber. The support in the room was pretty much unanimous and very encouraging, we will now be taking that message back to the licensing committee, and requesting their permission to continue these events next year ✊🏼

We just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that has contributed their time, signatures, support and positivity so far. A special thank you goes to Bob Smith-Thomas who organised and presented the petition, you’re a hero ❤️.

💀 💥 SHOCK 💥 💀

Yeah... We're as shocked as you to discover the promoter for the O2 Halloween show cancelled the event yesterday without any prior communication or discussion with us or any of the other artists.

Unfortunately he got spooked by the number of advance ticket sales at this time, and decided that the envisaged event would not be deliverable/was too financially risky. Wether that was the right call at this time will forever be up for debate. But it does highlight the importance of a major struggle in the industry today, larger scale local events heavily rely on advance sales, please show your future support where you can by financially committing to peoples visions as early as you can 🙏🏼.

We would like to sincerely apologise to everyone that had bought a ticket to the event, and to all of you that were excitedly planning on spending the evening with us. We're gutted too. We understand that refunds have already been given.

It's unknown if we will be able to host a Hush Club Halloween Bash elsewhere right now, which is a shame as its always a highlight of the year. But keep an eye out for updates.
