This Saturday Proving Ground comes out of hiatus for a fun little stop at Patrington Haven Leisure Park for an outdoor show!

No tickets, completely free to watch the wrestling and all are welcome! Drinks and BBQ will be available. The show starts at approx 1pm.

Some names featured include Dara Diablo & Ace Matthews. Come on down and join us!

‪Today marks 9 years since the first ever Proving Ground took place at Eastmount Centre. It started as a one off show, with no artwork & virtually no advertising, designed mainly for family and friends. ‬

‪We can’t wait until we’re back to really smash into our 10th year! ‬

New Generation Wrestling Statement

Right now the whole world is reacting to the virus outbreak and we have been following updates very closely for a few weeks. The health and safety of our fans, performers and staff are always of our foremost concern. With this in mind, and following discussions with our venue partners, we’ve made some decisions on the next few weeks.

This weekend’s events in Keighley & Beverley officially postponed

The Beverley event is being rescheduled to take place on Sunday 13th September and the Keighley event will now take place on Saturday 3rd October. These dates have been chosen with the consideration of the right time frame to avoid us having to rearrange them again if the situation hasn’t subsided sufficiently, and also with our own heavy summer schedule in mind.

TICKETS: All tickets will automatically rollover to the new dates and you do not have to do anything. If you have purchased through our website or the Keighley Leisure Centre and you cannot make the new dates and require a refund, please contact [email protected] with your purchase details. For those who don’t require a refund, you’ll receive a free piece of merchandise on request when you arrive in the building on the new dates, as a small way of apology for the inconvenience of the rescheduling.

All NGW Training Academies closed for at least the next 3 weeks.

With wrestling training being a very close contact activity, we’ve made the decision to close our training academies for at least the next 3 weeks with immediate effect. This affects all our schools in Yorkshire & the North East. Please keep an eye on our social media channels on updates on when we plan to reopen.

None of these decisions were made lightly, and we hope you all do understand the reasons why. Any questions, please direct to [email protected].

This is a very difficult time for lots of people, including everybody in the entertainment industry. We are devastated to have to make these decisions, but the most important thing for us all is to stay safe and be healthy. We’re already looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Proving Ground Wrestling

Proving Ground Wrestling is supported by New Generation Wrestling UK. Proving Ground showcases some of the top upcoming stars of British Wrestling holding events since 2011 where it all began in The Eastmount Centre in Hull, and has continued to showcase the stars of tomorrow all over the UK each year.

Proving Ground has featured the likes of Matt Myers, EL Ligero, Stixx, The Proven, Nathan Cruz, Rampage Brown, Dara Diablo and many more of British Wrestling’s biggest names.

In 2018 the first Proving Ground Champion was crowned in Ace Matthews, however had to forfeit the Title due to injury. The Title was then picked up by North East’s hard hitting Conor Renshaw. The Proving Ground Championship recently switched hands at Proving Ground 53 in Hull on January 18th where Dave Graves defeated Conor Renshaw & Ace Matthews to become NEW Proving Ground Champion.
