Down 3 lbs! Trying to limit carbs to once a day plus snack ;-)

ie: If I have a sandwich for lunch, I forgo the potato at dinner and vice-versa. I also eat a handful of pretzels or a couple of cookies every day (I know I shouldn't, but...).

I Need to get healthy now. As much as I promise myself, tomorrow never comes. So starting today I am going back at it. I hope you guys can join me. I need all the help I can get. The plan right now is to put my Fitbit back on, track my food, limit carbs, drink more water, and... I am making Pineapple water to boost my metabolism. :D Ha Ha! Sounds a bit like me...except for the "40 years" - I've been "at it" a bit longer that that! ;) Exercise is good for us - but way less effective than controlling what we eat, for weight-loss. Foods that spike insulin inhibit weight-loss + promote weight gain. They're the many "simple carbs" -Limit them! Look at our Team's recipes. We eat very well! Low-carb works. We know the Pumpkin Spice Latte is good, but it's a treat, like a 'once in a while' kind of thing. This Shake, you can have EVERY SINGLE DAY, so drink up!

1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
1 Tbsp pure pumpkin puree
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground pumpkin pie spice
1 cup ice

Place almond milk, Shakeology, pumpkin, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and ice in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.

Calories: 181
Total Fat: 5 g
Fiber: 5 g
Sugars: 8 g
Protein: 17 g

Sorry guys, been down in the dumps lately. Made lunch for tomorrow a turkey burger and brussel sprouts. 1 red 1 1/2 green. Sounds awful but the burger is jalapeno and the brussel sprouts are sauteed in evoo garlic and red pepper flakes. Need to get back on track. But hey anything is better than nothing. I know it is not Tasty Tuesday but...

Perfect side dish for dinner or add some chicken and make it a meal! 🍴

Spinach Parmesan Quinoa-

1 green container baby spinach
1 yellow container tri-color quinoa, cooked
1 blue container shredded parmesan
1 orange container raw sunflower seeds
1 clove chopped garlic
1 tsp EVOO

Heat the EVOO over medium low heat and add garlic, sauté a few minutes then add the sunflower seeds. Cook the garlic and seeds for 2-3 minutes. Add spinach and quinoa and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the spinach is wilted. Slowly mix in the parmesan and stir until melted. Serve warm 😊

Can't wait to try this one!

Super simple "fridge dump" dish. Recipe ⬇️

Saute 1/2 c sliced mushrooms.
Add 1 chopped tomato, sea salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning and chili powder to taste. Simmer until tender.
Add 1/2 c leftover penne and gently stir until heated thoroughly.
Top with Parmesan, if desired.
