Ten tips for new Brides 💗
•No Procrastinating!
Putting things off is the worst thing you can do in any situation but especially with a wedding! Vendors book YEARS in advance.. think I’m crazy, trust me I’m not. If you know you’re going to need a service of any sort - book as soon as you can!
•Photo list!
More than likely your photographer will request this from you but in case they do not, this is SO important. Write down EVERY single picture you’d like to have.
When it comes to family be as detailed as possible! I promise if you don’t you’ll forget someone!
•Splurge on atleast one thing!
If it’s the food truck you’d love to have, the amazing photographer you’ve seen or the dress that you literally dream about.. GET IT! This day is so special. It is okay to work with a budget and have an affordable wedding but treat yourself in some type of way!
•Remember it’s YOUR day!
This day is for the Bride and Groom. Sometimes it is hard to tell people no but you are the only person who knows what you want on this day - not mom, not aunts or your best friend. Of course you’d like their help but make sure you get what YOU want and you’re not making any decisions just to make someone else happy!
•Eat!
Girl - E A T!
You don’t have to eat a whole spread for breakfast but you do need to get something on your stomach for the day. Drink plenty of water as well. The day goes by fast and with so much excitement sometimes eating is not the first thing on the brain! As well as breakfast, make sure to eat at the reception! You spent all that money on the food, ENJOY IT!
Oh.. and eat cake too!! 😋
•Have a designated texter.
This sounds weird but have someone you trust take your phone for the day. You’ll always have those people who want to ask you for the address 20 minutes before the ceremony OR the people who will come to you with a crisis when they could actually go to ANYONE else. The last thing you need is stress on this day - so let someone else deal with it!
•Hire a DJ
Music sets the tone of your entire wedding! If you’d like a DJ or a band, either one will help make your wedding reception one to remember!
•Vendor check-in’s!
Listen, wedding vendors have L O T S going on in their minds because usually your wedding is not the only wedding they have been preparing for and we’re not perfect. To play it safe - check in with each vendor you have a week before the big day! Make sure the florist knows exactly what time to be there - where the DJ sets up - etc. It never hurts to be too prepared so make the call!
•Get a Coordinator
