Aaron is a dad, drawer, designer, and educator. He has taught art for many years at the Oswego Middle School. He has also taught courses on digital illustration and graphic novels at SUNY Oswego. He publishes his own comics and graphic novels under the name “Pens And Pedals.” His published works include “Creep of the Crop,” “Prizza’s Pizza: Son of a Prizzaman,” and his newest collected work, “Wesley the Robot: The Dark Ages.”

New York native Jason Quinones is a 1995 graduate of The Kubert School and has been working professionally as a graphic artist since then, creating graphics and all-over prints for children’s wear. In 2012, he wrote, drew, and self-published his first collection of satirical humor comics work titled BEER & COOKIES Vol. 1. He also created and self-published a sketchbook, a mini-comic, several zines and BEER & COOKIES Vol. 2, which have sold at comic shops and conventions nationwide and has contributed several pages of comics work to various independent publications.

Ryan Tavarez () will be at Indie Comics Creator Con!

Ryan Tavarez is a cartoonist based out of Pontiac, MI. A self-proclaimed O.M.A.C. of comics he works in a variety of mediums, striving to master every aspect of the storytelling process. Scripting, penciling, inking, coloring and lettering; Ryan has dabbled in each aspect of the craft. After the 2008 recession, he left the College For Creative Studies in Detroit, MI to find his own way into the world of comics, cartoons, and storytelling.

McMillen's work includes ATTABOY, the adventure comic disguised as a video game manual, now published by Mad Cave Studios, the sci-fi fantasy graphic novel LUMEN and SERIOUS CREATURES; his comic book series about a teenage special fx artist working in the Hollywood movie industry of the 70s, 80s and 90s.

About Jim:
My career in comics began in 1986, when I first joined Mirage Studios (owner and publisher of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). At the time I came on board, things were really beginning to take off for the TMNTs and their creators, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. In an effort to ease the growing workload, others jumped in and before long, we were a small but real publishing and licensing empire.

As for myself, I remained dedicated to the comics, which continued to be black and white. My first job was inking which then grew into penciling and then later the writing for the main title, from the years 1993-95. These books were officially known as volume 2. Besides volume 2, I wrote and illustrated many sub-titles (including Tales of the TMNT), various mini-series and one-shots. It was a crazy, busy time. There were 32 issues that comprised volume 4 (last of the Mirage TMNT books, 2001-2014) and on that run I was the exclusive penciller.

My days at Mirage Studios officially ended in 2014, years after the TMNTs were sold to Viacom/Nickelodeon (2009). In total, I had been on the Turtles 28 years, making me one of the rare artists having the longest run with a single property.

Now, many years later, I remain a professional comic book writer and artist. I still self-publish, even to this day, and I am the only remaining Mirage artist to do so. Under my name, I release new comic book content every year. A list of my titles are as follows: Guzzi LeMans, A Walk Through Dinosaurland, Dragonfly, Hellride, Dinosaur Head Cat and The Box City Wallops.

Besides the books, I’m busy with commission work and the occasional cover.

Indie Comics Creator Con is so excited to announce that Kathryn Calamia and Phil Falco are coming to the show. Lifeline Comics is a huge force when it comes to crowdfunding comics, and I can’t wait to talk with them about the future of self-publishing.

About the creators:
Kat Calamia & Phil Falco (collectively Lifeline Comics) are comic creators known for their diverse content. They are the creators of "The Beast & Snow," WEBTOON's "Slice of Life," and various comic book anthologies - including "Bi Visibility: A Bisexual Anthology," "Rainbow Canvas: A BL & GL Webtoon Anthology,” and "Hairology: A Celebration of Hair.”

In addition to their creator-owned work, Kat is a comic book critic and journalist with weekly reviews on her YouTube channel, Comic Uno. She currently writes for Popverse with bylines from Newsarama, IGN, DC Comics, Fandom, and TV Guide.

IC3 Artist Alley Spotlight: Halden Fraley

Halden Fraley is an illustrator/cartoonist/comic artist/writer currently living in Richmond, VA, and a graduate of VCU’s Communication Arts program. His comics work is unashamedly rooted in the pulp genre, such as his post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Heat Death and his high fantasy/body horror series Lady Miralynd.

Artist Alley Spotlight: Shawn Prairie
Shawn Prairie is a comic artist/Illustrator based out of western Massachusetts. His work has been described as "cartoon horror," which he wholly embraces.

Shawn's art is filled with distortions, aberrations, and creatures that shouldn't exist. He doesn't take these things wholly seriously, so each one is tinged with a dark sense of humor. He strives for creativity and hopes to inspire the people around him to do the same. The world can always use more artists' voices.
