I love Carnations for arrangements because they come in many different colors! This one is called Carnation Apple Tea Peach Fancy. This hue is lovely but what I like most is when you look closely you see these streaks of pink/lavender that I find really charming. 💕

Not only pretty but they last long! Especially with those long stems! When I make an arrangement with just carnations, it can last up to 2-3 weeks. Of course, I care for them like you should. I change the water and add floral food and give the stems a trim every 3-4 days. Carnations are hardy flowers but there’s so much more color varieties out that nobody knows about! 😊

Instead of grocery store carnations colors why not try to get a cool color variety like this one from your local florist! ❤️

Dahlias - This variety is Dahlia Ball Coral and has such a beautiful peach color! 💕

Dahlias have relatively short vase life: 3-5 days!

Place dahlias in a clean vase with clean water & floral preservatives. Change the water every 1-2 day and cut stems at a 45 degree angle each time you change the water. The fresh cut will help the flowers hydrate better.

Temperature also affects the vase life of flowers. Keep flowers in a cool area of your home.

I got a chance to make this chair arrangement a few weeks ago for a friend’s sister’s baby shower. It was made from both preserved and artificial flowers and greenery.

I wish the mom-to-be and father-to-be well and may they have a happy healthy baby! 💕
