Thursday we celebrated Jazmin and Kyle in Richmond at @historictuckahoe with their closest friends and family. While rain was in the forecast, we prayed all week and not a drop fell during their wedding! They have a true love and it was so evident through their vows and the speeches their loved ones made. Grateful to have witnessed and been a part of this beautiful day!

Invitation suites are a labor of love, and deserve the intentional time and styling to feature their work. Shoes can have their place in pictures that show other wedding day details, but I (along with stationers) prefer to leave them out of the invtiation shots. What are your thoughts? ✉️

No, we do not offer day-of coordination or month-of coordination. These have left the wedding industry years ago for multiple reasons 👇🏼•I don’t want to show up on your wedding day to be the person everyone is looking to, to not know any details or your vision. It does you a disservice to hire someone without them getting to know you or your wedding beforehand as you’ve essentially just welcomed a stranger into the day that you’ve been planning for months or even years! This just creates confusion and stress, both things you can’t afford to have• These terms are defined by time, and while a planner may start working with you the month before your wedding, I don’t want this time frame to be what you think defines your package. Here at Peña & Co., we start working with you 6-8 weeks before your wedding and include all of the necessary steps to ensure a cohesive and well thought out day to bring together all of the details you’ve planned, and that’s what should define your package• When you think of a coordinator as just “day-of”, it’s hard to justify the price when you’re expecting them to do only 8 hours of work. To actually bring together your wedding, we do all the communication with the vendors after 6 weeks, timeline creation, 3 meetings, site visit, rehearsal, communication, and lots more. To eliminate confusion, we choose not to use those termsWhat is the correct term then to use? Wedding or Event Management!
