Our final offering in this July series of food, friends and films! Tuesday July 30. Third Eye Pie Cinema Club presents “Harold & Maude” - a 1971 dark comedy directed by Hal Ashby. Young, rich, and obsessed with death, Harold finds himself changed forever when he meets lively septuagenarian Maude at a funeral. TRT: 91 min.

Reserve a $5 pizza inspired by the film via DM. GF or Vegan options. Pizzas served in the backyard from 7-8p. Free movie from 8p-10p.

Thursday July 11. Third Eye Pie Cinema Club presents The Happiness of Katakuris - a 2001 comedy horror musical directed by Takashi Miike. A family moves to the country to run a rustic mountain inn when, to their horror, the customers begin befalling sudden and unlikely fates. TRT: 1hr 43min.

Reserve a $5 pizza inspired by the film via DM. Indicate Gluten, Gluten Free or Vegan. Pizzas served in the backyard from 7-8p. Free movie from 8p-10p.

It's always a new now at your friendly neighborhood New Now, so this July we want to try something new . . .

We’re doing an experiment we’re calling Third Eye Pie Cinema Club - a space where friends show a favorite film and folks enjoy a conceptual pizza inspired by the movie. Third Eye Pie Cinema Club is a place to experience new food, films and friends.

Tuesday July 2 join us for the documentary "Vernon, Florida" by director Erroll Morris. Pizza at 7p in the backyard. Movie at 8p indoors.

Both shows are sold out! Anyone arriving without a ticket will be asked to cue in the standby line. Doors open at 745p to ticket holders. Once they are checked in, we will see what room we have. If space does become available, it would likely be standing room or floor seating only. But there’s no guarantee. Please please please be kind and patient to our door volunteers Maggie and Sierra this weekend. I wish EVERYONE could see these inspired Mrs. Claus stories. Thank you all for supporting independent artists and live events.

This NewNow is an experimental event space by Oakland based participatory design agency New Creatures. For several years we’ve have had the pleasure of providing a space for artists and experience creators from Oakland and beyond to gather, create, and share new work.

We deeply believe in the power of bringing people together, and feel it’s more important now than ever.

In continuation with our purpose we are now offering creators a safe and affordable space to create and produce new online experiences, performances, and classes complete with all the gear necessary to create professional projects.
