✨ MR & MRS FLANAGAN

Chris and Katie eloped with us on Thursday afternoon in the beautiful Springbrook National Park.
•
It was an intimate ceremony with just three guests and Katie’s parents watching by Zoom from New Zealand.
•
Chris immediately knew Katie was someone special and his feelings for her grew instantly from their first date. It was Chris’ homemade butter chicken when she was sick that made Katie realise what a kind, caring and empathetic person Chris was - he was everything she was wanted!

✨ PANDEMIC FEELS
•
85 days ago the first case of coronavirus was reported in Australia. On 12 March Tom Hanks tested positive on the Gold Coast. Less than one month ago, Queensland shut its borders. In between, I’ve watched industries I love disappear overnight.
•
Coronavirus hasn’t discriminated. It has affected everyone in one way or another. Today, my beautiful friend was meant to be getting married. It was going to be, and will still be, fabulous! With love in the air and a wine in hand, I cannot wait until we are allowed gatherings again, in particular weddings!
•
Isolation has been challenging! When the restrictions start to get lifted I know I will appreciate all of my favourite things a little bit more. Something as simple as the atmosphere of a restaurant. A dinner out with friends. To be able to embrace those closest to you.
•
In the meantime, back when travelling was allowed, Mel took me to to check it out. They were setting up for a wedding and these gorgeous flowers were so dark and moody against the white paint, they gave me all the feels. Here’s hoping I’m back there really soon.

It was an absolute pleasure to marry Ethan and Ashlea on Saturday!

After 9 years and their beautiful little boy, with the sand between their toes and the ocean in the background, these two vowed to spend the rest of their lives together.

It’s the simple things, such as their nightly cups of tea on the couch before bed, which makes their relationship so sweet!

Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to meet 98 year old Alice. Alice is Ashlea’s nanny and there was no way she was missing this wedding!

I asked Alice for some words of advice for a happy marriage and she said be good to one another and say nice things to one another.

and Ethan, may you always treat each other kindly and take the time to tell one another all the nice things!

A bride-to-be recently told me that she was nervous about walking down the aisle.
•
When the time comes to walk down the aisle, in that moment, on your day, I can promise you the nerves fall away the moment that you see your person waiting at the end of the aisle. Often overcome with emotions!
•
Don’t be nervous, instead embrace those feelings as you walk towards your love!

I spent today in Geelong with and our beautiful friend Emily. The three of us spent twelve months together at uni and have had thirteen years of friendship!

We had a wine tasting and viewed the gorgeous this afternoon.
•
I can’t wait to marry and at in April!
