Maggie Russo ( )says this little known change during the toast will create MUCH better photos! When the MOH/BM/toaster stands BEHIND the couple, they try to look up and back at the speaker.... this makes for awful awkward photos of the bride & groom! Who likes an angle of up the nose?!🙅🏻♀️

Have your speaker stand in front of the couple so they are easily and comfortably looking straight out at the person = beautiful reaction shots during the toasts😍

5 minutes for "loading the car for the church"? Think again... on a wedding day a simple tasks like this might take 3x as long since everyone is moving slow in their high heels and long dresses, not to mention one forgotten item can turn the entire day into a frenzy...

This is such a great tip-- PAD your timeline! And think of it this way, if all goes smoothly you will have a little extra time to chill and enjoy your day. It flies by so soak up every moment!

Hey Robin here... It's Mother's Day and I wanted to share a personal story about my mom. She is the reason I became a wedding photographer and that experience has led into creating The Uncorked Project.

This little beat up Canon AE-1 film camera was a gift from my husband, Phil, when I turned 26. A thoughtful but odd gift, as I was not a photographer at the time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rewind a year and a half prior. It was a bit of a blur for me as we had to grow up fast... just nine months after our wedding my mom was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma. We packed up our wedding gifts and little Lincoln Park apartment, I quit my advertising job and we moved to rural Michigan to take care of her. A short 6 months later she was gone and I found myself in her house, 5 horses to care for, no job and a broken heart. I was 26 years old.

I always loved photography and was a point-and-shoot hobbyist. When Phil gave me this camera I told him I didn't know how to work it - so we signed me up for photography classes at the local college.

That's when Riverbend Studio was reinvented. You see, Riverbend Studio has always been a part of my life. My mother, an artist and lover of all things unique and beautiful, opened Riverbend Studio as a quaint boutique in 1970.

While I love being a photographer, becoming an entrepreneur is a dream come true. I could never be one without the other.

Riverbend Studio is what allowed me to build The Uncorked Project from a back-of-the-napkin idea in a bar to this big production. As Riverbend slows down and Uncorked picks up, it feels like the next stage and mom is still the foundation of it all.

We think this stat is wrong. When we polled our followers the percentage came back closer to 15% said they got busy on their wedding night. The rest were just too damn tired 🥂

We have such a crush on Anthony Navarro. We've begged him to come back to our studio and be a recurring guest because we RAN OUT OF TIME during his interview!! He is a wedding planner and Creative Director at Liven It Up Events but this quote came from his heart about his own wedding to Jeff.

We will be airing this part of their interview soon, but in hindsight they are so grateful they let go of their worries about having kids at their wedding for all the practical reasons. They shared a personal story that will give you goosebumps and tears...and maybe a new perspective on having the little ones running around at the reception.

This is a real message we received through our website from a bride. It's a touchy subject and we see a lot of people/wedding accounts shying away from the subject of wanting to look a certain way on your wedding day.
