Durik was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Albany, New York/Florida with his identical twin brother Evan. He comes from a family of 5 kids (all singers and musicians), with 2 sets of twins including his middle brother Rory. Durik has focused his time on perfecting his songwriting, singing and production skills letting the music speak. His main focus is creating music that connects with fans across the world including genres like pop, electronic & rock but currently focused on pop/electronic.
In 2004 his good friend and producer Andy Anderson (VRS Studios) saw something special, inspiring him to focus on his talents of songwriting and singing. Andy mentioned an opportunity to audition as singer of a band signed to RCA Records due to the band losing their lead singer tragically in a drunk driving accident.
Although Durik didn’t get the lead singer position, it sparked a realization from that moment up to the completion of his first song “Can I Be” he knew what his path was. Honing in on his newfound skill of writing, he focused not only on writing songs but also bettering himself as a person. Songwriting helped him say things that were hard to communicate in person. It gave him a voice.
Durik has performed at the House of Blues many times and multiple Music Festivals opening for numerous national acts as front man of his band KASSON with his twin brother Evan and guitar player Jordan. His voice and live performance are something to be seen by all. His voice captivates the audience and brings them to a place of being free while making you want to dance.
