Competition brings a different air where tensions run high, uncertainties linger, and an electricity built from excitement can be felt. Competition means that while many proudly stand tall, only one stands crowned by the stroke of midnight.

Those who came to the Arena indeed came to win; but not without laying down humility, friendships, and camaraderie. Behind the stage that stood overseeing the crowds of Tagboan Arts Festival, the BCA team stood witness to the many friendships and the healthy competitive spirit within the local cosplay community.

Your prop's coming off at the seams? Here's a bit of glue.
Your wig's dangling? Here, let me help restyle it in a second.
Your wardrobe having a malfunction? I've got a needle, thread, and some safety pins.

Every single one of them were competing, but all with the fairness of the competition that they could muster. Everyone was helping everyone--there was no shortage of it, no sign of petty and negative feelings against each other competitor. Small talks and conversations extended into regaling one another about sleepless nights crafting and sewing, and complimenting each one's costumes. Everyone was everyone's biggest fan.

Beyond the Arena was a kinship like no other. Every competing cosplayer took to the stage for joy, and then came down to the audience to cheer louder than no other for their every contest rival who walked down right after them.

The BCA team would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Diskette Boy for being one of our media coverage partners during the event. His photos speak more of this community camaraderie more than we could imagine. Please don't forget to follow his page and give the same love!

A year already? What a ride!

Bicol Cosplay Arena is thankful to the many, many people tirelessly working behind the scenes for events thus far it has organized and held--staff and volunteers alike. No amount of words will be enough to state the gratitude BCA has for the many people of different backgrounds and talents who spared time and effort to make these events greater than great.

Behind the events, booths, parades, and gatherings, there has been no shortage of preparations, paperwork, and legwork so that BCA can deliver. The BCA team will always commit to a level beyond the average to ensure first and foremost that professional standards are matched when it comes to event organization and ex*****on.

None of the events would be a reality without the most important part of it: YOU! The many hobby and cosplay community members present during the events who celebrate the joy and fun in these shared interests. Never let your love of hobbies and cosplays die out!

Here's to more events in the future! From all of us to you; the team, volunteers, and attendees, thank you for being part of the Bicol Cosplay Arena family!

Move to combat? Swing in for lethal!

Congratulations to the participants of MTG Naga's Crusade of Commons: Pauper Duel Commander tournament! It was our pleasure to have partnered with your community and event for the leg of Bicol Cosplay Arena 2024; despite the challenges posed by the first-time venue and the weather, the efforts of the community's principal hosts alongside the BCA team pushed forth a successful event!

To the tournament organizers, kudos! Thank you for partnering with us Hyde Edwards and co!
