It may be July, but I am already starting on Christmas ornaments! I am not quite ready to start making I red and green yet (okay, if I am really honest, I have snuck and made a few of those too). There is no better way to beat this 104 degree heat than make ornaments while dreaming of cooler days.

I am so excited to be set up here in San Antonio now. It has been a long wait while we processed our new life post military, but we are back and ready to go again with so many new exciting things to see. We can't wait to to see all the new friends we will make here.

Monkeys Make Me Smile was part of my life when I needed it so much. It started as a hobby when I couldn't leave bed and turned into a business with 15 women sewing and me running around town picking up moneys and dropping off orders, unable to keep up with demand. We had people offering us contracts that would require setting up manufacturing that would take us outside the handmade monkeys that made us so special. Eventually, we had to take it to all stop just because it was too successful and we needed a break. I look forward to making moneys again, because they really do make me smile.
