Planning your big day can feel overwhelming, so I want to share my best tips for making it less stressful.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Pick your priorities.
You don’t have to (nor should you!) go all-out on every single thing. Prioritise what matters most to you. Is it the venue, the food, the entertainment, or maybe the photography? Allocate your budget accordingly and focus on what will make your day unforgettable. The little details will fall into place!

2. Listen to yourselves
It’s easy to get caught up in the latest trends, but remember, your wedding should reflect YOUR love story. Go for timeless elements mixed with personal touches—whether that’s a unique venue, family traditions, or meaningful details. You want to look back and feel like the day was yours.

3. Hire professionals you trust
Your vendors become your team on the wedding day. Invest in professionals who understand your vision and will take care of the details. Having a photographer, planner, or florist you trust means you can relax and enjoy your day without any worries!

4. Create an experience for your guests
Think about your guests’ experience from start to finish. Consider fun ways to engage them, from custom cocktails to unique favours and interactive stations. A thoughtful seating arrangement or a fun photo booth can create a personal touch that they’ll remember long after the wedding.

5. Dare to be original

In the process of hiring a social media marketing manager, I was reminded by the greatest that the business doesn’t need to become big on Instagram to succeed.

This is not the platform where I have (nor will I) get my clients; they found us through online searches, word of mouth and genuine recommendations. ✨👋

As a business owner, it’s been a huge, and ever growing, must to have a strong online presence.😅

I’ve been led to believe I need to invest in it to be considered a business.

It’s one of the most powerful questions!

I use it in my conversations with clients to give perspective and clarity.

If you stand in front of a choice and need to make a decision, ask yourself this question!

Shall you invite that person?
Shall you get that thing?
Shall you use that vendor?

Answer based on which option would be right for your future self.

Recently, I was asked the very same question and it gave me the realisation I want to do more.
I want to help more couples getting married!

Now, I do it by offering Planning Sessions to anyone planning a wedding!

It gives couples who don’t want to (or simply can’t) hire a full service wedding planner the chance to get expert advice from one!

The 2024 season has come to an end and I want to take some time to reminisce over the years that has passed since Wahlman Weddings was founded in 2018.

We have met so many wonderful couples, guests and vendors.
We have travelled to the most fantastic destinations and locations.
We have had the opportunity to share our expertise, build and nationwide network of professionals and grow into what we are today.

Now, a chapter is closing but the journey continues!

There is a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes to be able to produce celebrations which leaves memories to last a lifetime.

In a world that is currently bleeding, it feels insensitive and shallow to go on publishing posts about parties, decor and beautifully styled items.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But the truth is that now, more than ever, we need to continue to spread joy, love and kindness!

This platform is a creative tool and works as a portfolio. It functions as an escape for many in need and it’s a reminder that life goes on. There is still so much hope and generosity out there!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
People keep falling in love, couples keep getting married and friends/families keep travelling to celebrate the weddings!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There may be many things I’m unable to impact or control, but I can contribute by doing what I do best which is to advocate for LOVE!
Because, that is what I want our future to be filled with!
