Sarah said ‘Aflie was brilliant with the photo booth for my sister’s 30th everyone loved it.‘

Sarah reached out to us in August, looking to add something to her sister’s birthday celebrations.

During our initial discovery call, Sarah debated whether the 360 or our vintage Photo Booth would be the better option. We recommended the vintage Photo Booth due to Hannah’s love for nostalgia and the older demographic who’d appreciate the beauty of this unique booth.

Sian was planning a joint 40th birthday party and wanted to add a bit of fun to her party. Music and food were a must, but she wasn’t sure what else to include that can make the party that much more memorable.

During our initial discovery call, our 360 photo booth was the obvious choice. Sian saw our reviews and loved the videos we produce.

Everyone loved the booth and Sian said: ‘Alfie was fantastic right from first communication through to running the booth on the night.’

📸 Why the Photo Booth Attendant Matters?

🚨 What could go wrong?

❌ Long waiting time
❌ Poor quality videos from incorrect lighting or settings
❌ Guests walking away confused or frustrated without clear instructions
❌ An empty booth because no one’s encouraging guests to join in the fun!

You’ve got the venue, the props, and the perfect photo booth setup, but have you thought about the person running it? The booth attendant can make or break your guest experience, and here’s why it’s so important to get it right:

1️⃣ Guest Engagement: A friendly, proactive attendant will interact with your guests, help them with the booth, and make sure everyone’s having fun! An uninterested or unprepared attendant? Well, they could leave guests confused or frustrated.

2️⃣ Smooth Operation: A skilled attendant knows how to quickly troubleshoot any tech issues or adjust the booth to ensure top-quality photos. A poorly trained attendant might struggle with the equipment, leading to blurry photos or long lines.

3️⃣ Keeping the Energy High: A great attendant adds to the event’s energy by keeping the booth lively and organized. If they’re disengaged or shy, the booth could fall flat and lose its appeal.

That’s why it’s important to know who will be attending your event. Ask to schedule a call with them to make sure they’re a good fit for you and your event.

We met S and D at another venue back in 2023 and they were the first couple we spoke to on the day. Duncan was not shy to jump on the booth alone, showing us his artistic flair and funky moves.

We are so happy to have been a part of this wedding at To top things off, Sarah’s grandparents had a go on the booth and they loved every second of it.

When it comes to photo booths, suppliers will vary in a multitude of ways. This week we are focusing on hardware for 360 photo booths.

Every supplier is going to say they have the best booth, but as a client, you need to know what it is that your are looking for, so you don’t make silly mistakes.

Tip no.1 - SIZE
When it comes to 360 Photo Booth, size matter. Why? Because this will affect the number of users per go. Why? Well if you have a small booth only one person can use, this can’t be a group thing.

Sizes generally start at 60cm and can go up to 120cm. Although smaller booths will create restrictions, bigger booths are not necessarily better neither.

This is because the bigger the booths, the more likely it is to be less stable. I am sure you have seen shaky 360 footage somewhere.

It is important for you to think about what size booth you want. Are you going to have groups that will want to use the booth together? Do you want stable footage so your videos come out nice and crisp?

Tip no.2 - CAMERA
Did you know not all 360 Photo Booth suppliers use the same camera equipment. During our time in the industry, we have seen Go Pros, iPads and even customers own phones.

Go Pros are generally decent if they are able to use the correct software.

However iPads are not made for video capture, especially when the front camera is used. If you are not worried about the quality of your videos, then don’t really need to stress about it.

In some cases, we have seen suppliers asking clients to use their own phone, using the slow mo function. The problem with this set up is that there isn’t software attached to the clients phone, which means the video isn’t fully edited.

Consequently, there are no personalisation features, no audio overlay and no reverse function which can make the video look quite bland.

Overall, checking the suppliers instagram to see their set up will allow you to confirm the size of their booth and also the videos they produce. In the end, you don’t want spend money on something that’s not going to deliver what you want.
