All are welcome to this special edition of BassWitch where we will be reveling in the drum & bass realms! Featuring a 360 degree stage experience! You can also expect fun interactive performances throughout the night from our dancers, live-painters, vendors, tarot readers, healers, aphrodisiacs, tea, chocolate, and plenty of surprises in store. Plus pro sound on the Den’s incredible new L’Acoustics sound system, epic visuals, & lighting and a soft studio dance floor!

BassWitch 9.0 is about to go off tonight in Portland......and the theme of SLAY 🗡 suddenly feels as though it is strangely spot on for the current mood....

Something that I learned from one of my teachers PJ Weinstein is that in order to feel the music, you have to be able to FEEL it, and that is why bass frequencies are so important & why I am such a basshead....it gets me every time! and Music and Dance are the best medicine I know....so it feels especially appropriate to come together with this community, to express this sacred feminine rage in a safe container, and to harness the powerful bass frequencies to support us in moving through these intense energies together.

Our grief is holy.
Our rage is divine.
Our love is enduring.
Our lives are sacred.

Finally, we have Lyranya blessing us with her gifts on the BassWitch 9.0 stage!

With roots and gold medals in Gōjū-ryū Karate, Lyranya’s journey in martial arts sparked a passion that led her to pursue nunchucks as a powerful and expressive performance art. She regularly performs with the cyberpunk troupe .x.machina, merging martial artistry with theater. As a fashion designer, she brings her unique vision to life through original character looks, inspiring others to step fully into their own essence and express their truest selves.

We are so pleased to welcome Chelsea Suppah RedKnees to the BassWitch 9.0 stage! She is a descendent of the Walla Walla indigenous people of Oregon, currently known as the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. She studied martial arts for 8 years, achieving a black belt and as a young lady taught grown men to fight. Chelsea weaves her lifelong studies of art, music, theater and dance into her journey towards ancestral reclamation. She is multi-talented, and has also been a live-painter at previous BassWitch events, and you can find her performing as a Musician, Performer, Producer, & Language Revitalist at multiple events around the PNW.....give her a follow 🔥🖤🔥

Please welcome Mismonsta to the BassWitch 9.0 Stage! The "Dominican Dancing Diosa '' has been performing since 2004, first with Atash Maya in San Diego, then as a soloist starting in 2013 in Portland. She currently performs in a variety of shows around town within the Bellydance, Drag, and Burlesque communities. She is also a co-producer of the long running community show "Offbeat Bellydance", as well as a co-producer of "Umbrae Noctis", a 2-day darkly decadent burlesque festival, debuting this November!

Ish💫star has been exploring embodiment professionally since before the turn of the century. Trained in Kung Fu, Ascension Meditation, Yoga, Fusion Bellydance and Fire/Prop Flow, her passions include ritual storytelling, creating custom adornment for world via The Ish Factor, event production, teaching, choreography, mentorship, makeup art, drumming and dismantling the toxic patriarchy. She is based in Portland, Oregon but is originally from the stars.

BassWitch 9.0 is thrilled to welcome Scarlett Dynamite to the stage! She is a modern-day Temple Priestess, Movement Medicine Facilitator, Coach, and Ritual Performance Artist. With a deep passion for empowering women, she creates a safe and sacred space to reclaim and rewrite the stories we’ve been told about our temple bodies, sensuality, and sexuality. Through her own experiences as a stripper, dancer, somatic healer, and teacher, she has mastered her own inner sense of safety to be visible and express freely and authentically. Her magnetic energy emanates fierce sexual sovereignty, self-worth, self-love, resilience, power, and radical permission to say F**K YES to your infinite potential.
