It’s hard to believe that 4 years have passed since I first embarked on my Galaxy journey.

In 2019, being married, and having a 6 month old son, I honestly thought my pageant days were behind me. But here I am, 4 years later, about to represent Canada internationally, while 8 months pregnant.

I have been honoured, and grateful, to have been blessed with the title of Mrs Galaxy Canada 20/21 & Mrs. Galaxy Northern Canada 22/23. My family and I are a package deal, and this system has wholeheartedly accepted and embraced us.

I am so excited to meet my extended Galaxy family, and sister queens, in just a few days. It’s been a long time coming, and I am so happy to share the experience with you all.

Denise, a compassionate and driven small town girl with immigrant parents, has dedicated her life to volunteer work from a young age. Her altruistic journey led her to travel the globe, making a difference through various charities such as Healthy Kids, Happy Kids in India, Operation Smile, and S.O.S. Children’s Villages in Nicaragua. In 2014, her exceptional contributions were acknowledged when she was honored as the North American Peace Ambassador in Hwacheon, South Korea.

As an accomplished individual, Denise graduated Cum Laude in Biomedical Sciences from Laurentian University, where she was recognized and awarded the "Alumni Young Leader Award" for her outstanding leadership skills. She possesses a profound passion for health and homeopathy, and her dedication to personal growth is evident through her achievement of a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwon-Do.

In her personal life, Denise cherishes the blessings of her family and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second son in October.

We had a wonderful time visiting in Toronto to share our magical presentation for their monthly birthday celebration 😊🎂

Red Door Shelters provides emergency housing and support services to women escaping domestic violence.

A child's birthday should be a time of celebration, so every month, Girls Gone Local (with their Candles & Cake initiative), and The Red Door Shelter hosts a party to celebrate all the children in the shelter born that month.

Cost of food in Canada increased 8.30 percent in May of 2023 over the same month in the previous year.

Food Banks are currently facing a high demand but short supply of food, and locally, our church announced that there is a high need at our local Food Bank for not just various food items, but also for size 5 and 6 diapers.

We did a donation at our church that day since it was a Sunday, and encourage anyone who is able to give, to also donate to their local food banks.

Every bit makes a difference 💕

Happy Spring Equinox!
Did you know that today, the day and night are approximately the same , hence the name, "Equinox".

Equi = equal
Nox = night

Many cultures around the world have celebrations during this time, as it symbolizes new life. We often also see eggs as they are symbolic of new life.

Even the Chinese egg balancing tradition is meant to symbolize the earth's balance during this time, and the folklore states that just on the equinox, eggs can be balanced upright (although you can technically balance them any time with the right tehnique).

May we all enjoy the sunnier days ahead in the northern hemisphere🌞🥰🌻

On March 8th, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and courage of women today, and those that have gone before us, paving the way for women's rights.

I am so grateful for how far we've come, but acknowledge that there is so much more that must be done to protect and uplift women throughout the world.
