This is absolutely shocking!

Hi all, Paul here.
Today I’m especially grateful to still be alive as I reflect on human decency, character & justice.
As you may remember, on the 29.02.2016 I almost lost my life while performing at Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance Utrecht festival, organized by his business associates at ALDA which was managed by Alan Hardenberg & David Lewis.
Since then, it was legally established that their disregard for basic safety standards in stage building & event safety led to my fall & therefore left me with multiple broken bones including my spine, traumatic brain injury & health problems for the rest of my life.
How can you cover an unmarked hole in the stage construction with fabric? How can there be an unmarked hole to begin with? Greed? Saving money at the cost of safety?
The legal responsibility is very clear; ALDA has been held accountable, but even after 8 years, they have never acknowledged any responsibility, not given a simple apology & have not paid any of the court-ordered compensation to cover the economic damages they caused, as ordered by the highest court in the Netherlands.
To the contrary, ALDA even tried to block the insurance to pay for my medical bills & that says everything about their character & decency.
On the positive side I learned a lot about survival and how to approach the everyday struggle caused by the severe injuries and the life-long impact on my health, to deal with it with positivity regardless of the continuing pain.
During the months I was in hospitals, everyone did their utmost to bring me back, I was treated with dignity, respect & care & for that I will be forever grateful.
All your support & well wishes encouraged me to stand up & walk again, it motivated me to an extent you will never understand & for that I will be forever grateful.
I discovered that love is the greatest power that exists & for the endless love and strength I was given by my wife Margarita, I will be forever grateful.
But nobody & nothing can give me back my health or make up for what my family & friends had to go through.
Even though they continue to hide from their responsibility I know for certain that justice will succeed in the end.

So as you all know we have our next instalment of our new Tech House night called 'Embraced'

We've made one announcement already who will be headlining on ghe 4th August, but now I'd like to announce our next very special guest to be joining us...

Please welcome Simon Thomas!!!

DJ, Musician, Music enthusiast, Bristolian.

Simon Thomas has been making waves since stepping into the club scene back in 2014 - Predominantly known for shelling out bass driven tech house peppered with sassy vocal hooks.

Having spent some years playing local clubs (along side some hard hitters and national acts) he earned a residency for Banjax Music which is a Bristol based brand in the underground music club scene which has seen the likes of Cristoph, Prok n Fitch, Raffa FL, Doorly, Weiss, D Ramirez, Martin Ikin to name a few.

Ultimately for him it’s all about making you want to dance regardless of sub genre, style or release date.

As an eclectic selector he has found himself landing a monthly radio show (inside the mind) on Decadance Radio where he has been showcasing local talent via a guest slot on each live program.

Simon has bigger plans on the horizon with fresh new music coming under a new alias….watch this space!

I'm so happy to have this man on board with his energetic style if djing, always been a fan, now he will be gracing us with his presence!

So its 11 days until Embrace Events Bristol brings you the second instalment of 'Embraced' At The Crown Bar & Kitchen with our very special guest headliner Loz Seka

Here is his Bio & Contact details for any future events and to get you in the mood for what he has instore for you Crown Ravers...

Loz Seka is a DJ/Producer hailing from the Midlands, UK and is fast gaining a reputation for his percussive driven house music with signature low-end grooves that are unleashed in his sets which deliver every time.
Throughout his career he has brought his sound and energy to some of the UK's most prestigious venues including 02 Academy Brixton for MK's Area 10 brand, Motion Bristol and has supported house music artists such as Paul Oakenfold, Brandon Block, Pete Griffiths and Marshall Jefferson amongst many others.
In 2021 Loz was given the opportunity to join the Data Transmission family as the A&R for the newly established labels Data Transmission and sister labels 63b & DT Weapons.
2023 marks Loz Seka’s debut releases seeing him join the ranks of the acclaimed Toolroom Records on ‘The Leaders of the Nu Skool' release series in January with support from the likes of Mau P & Chelina Manahutu & 2nd release on ‘Toolroom Trax’ in April which reached 25 in the Tech House charts on Beatport.
Tipped as “one to watch” for 2023 by Toolroom hierarchy and with many more releases & gigs in the pipeline things are looking bright for Loz Seka.
