Last Saturday, the whole crew showed up to make sauerkraut balls, even the matriarch of the family. Even though she didn’t physically help, she did give us pointers throughout the process. We didn’t count the final product but we had enough for everyone!!

While I’ve been attempting to cook something based off of National Day themes, I was trying to figured out what to make for Ohio day. Ohio is known for Cincinnati Chili, Buckeye’s, Barberton Chicken and Sauerkraut Balls!! These tasty morsels originated in Akron. And I am very lucky to be related to a lady that makes the absolute best!! Although her recipe differs from most you find in the restaurants, they are, in my opinion, better than those you buy!!
Every Christmas I can remember we had them! And we ate every single one!!
