Saturday before our Friendsgiving that we’re hosting! A fun yet madhouse level feel since we’re hosting a few new folks and I’m making some new dishes. Then tonight we’re taking Alex to a Christmas train! I’m so thankful for a slower December and being able to spend time with our little family.

Had my last event of the year yesterday and it feels so nice to have a few weeks of low key time.

If you know me you know this isn’t necessarily time off, but more so doing some maintenance on the business (the website needs so much love!), getting the cameras cleaned,prepping our end of year survey, and preparing for next year!

It’s been absolute pleasure getting to know Gabe & Morgan this past year from our initial call, to their engagement session at the National Portrait Gallery, and their wedding at District Winery. The weddings where it feels like a big group of friends throwing a party and I’m there to document the authentic joy that’s happening are the best! You’d almost forget it was 40 degrees outside!⁠ and you couldn’t beat their sunset!

My first Saturday off since July!

Thankful to get the weekend off to hang with my family. We’ve got some basic fun plans we don’t usually get to do together: our local farmer’s market, some shopping just for fun, maybe a hike, church, and then I’m headed to a card show to checkout some inventory my collection!
