I thought the weather today called for this.
We love all our brides, but we have a special place in our heart for the ones who may not get the perfect weather they hoped for, and still make the absolute best of it.
The wind for this wedding last summer was insane…at least 30mph…blowing flowers out of our hands as we carried them to the ceremony spot. But Lexie, being the classy lady that she is, pulled her hair back, spoke the most poignant vows from her heart, and focused on what was important. So much respect for that!
Your day is what YOU make it, not what the weather makes it, and if you just remember to smile (or laugh) through the hiccups, your memories of it will be happy.

Here’s a tip: consider Southern Utah. The red rock and blue skies make a gorgeous, backdrop that will make your photos really stand out. And bonus: the weather is usually a little warmer too, so you won’t have to smile through the shivering. Win-win!

Sometimes brides lament the fact that their wedding is not happening the month they would have chosen if all the stars were aligned and they could have their favorite season. Here’s a secret: there is so much floral beauty in every single season, and you can absolutely honor what nature is showcasing in your wedding month without feeling hedged in by it.
Are you getting married next spring, but you love warm tones and all the cozy autumn feels? We’ve got you, we can create stunning florals in beautiful autumn tones using yummy spring tulips, irises, cafe ranunculus and more.
Maybe you have a winter wedding coming up, but you really don’t want to be locked in to jeweled toned palette? Fantastic! As florists, we love a refreshing pastel or bright colored wedding in the middle of December. And we can still give a nod to the season with a touch of cedar or some sculptural bare branches.
Or maybe you are planning a fall wedding, but you love pastels (or, excuse me, 2024 color rebrand: “soft elegance”). We would love nothing more than to give you all those lovely muted colors in gorgeous dahlias and lisianthus that are so hard to come by when we get a rush of “soft elegance” weddings in the spring. And we can throw in a hint of pale golden leaves for a reminder of the space and time we are in.
Bottom line? Choose the colors you really want, regardless or the month, and also pay homage to the time of year by allowing your florist to guide you in “Autumn, but make it subtle.”

Here’s the thing: not every photo on your wedding day (or bridals) will turn out perfectly, but the ones you never expected will amaze you.
So instead of swearing the small stuff, like rigidly checking your timeline, live in the moment. Enjoy the day, appreciate having people you love all around you, and don’t worry about whether they wore the right tie or shoes.
Know that in the end it’s all about celebrating your love. Give your photographer a chance to capture you candidly happy rather than saving your smiles for the posed shots.
