✨️garden inspired✨️

We're at a beautiful intersection of spring blooms starting to fade and summer flowers just beginning to hit their stride. All of these beauties are currently mingling in the garden and it looks sooo pretty.

The sweet peas are beginning to shut down in this extreme heat (same, guys 🫠) and some of the snapdragons and larkspur will slow down until their next flush of blooms.

Wishing I could send everyone a bundle of these sweet peas and their divine scent 🤍

Pictured is 'April in Paris' which was autumn sown last year and is far more robust and productive than any of the other varieties that I started indoors and planted out in late winter.

If all goes as planned, all of my sweet peas will be autumn sown into the high tunnel for a large early crop next spring!

I loved creating these floral combs for the bride and her sweet daughter. I get a little giddy when asked to flower something a bit outside the ordinary, and while these tiny pieces are time-consuming to create, I love how much joy they evoke when delivered. The reaction from the daughter of the bride was just priceless and will live in my mind forever 🥲🥰

The moment I spoke to this weekend's bride about her late May wedding with a peach + blush palette, I knew these 'Moonlight in Paris' roses would be a perfect compliment to her bouquet and centerpieces. They are as fragrant as they are beautiful and put on such a show as they open and evolve in color once cut. They started blooming about two weeks ago right on schedule for M + N's wedding 🤍

Happy Mother's Day to ALL of the mamas! I'm grateful to have my own incredible mom and such a special mother-in-law in my life and to be a mama to my two perfect babies.

Thank you to all the moms who lift each other up and encourage one another amidst the ups and downs along this journey through motherhood. Moms make the world go round and I'm so proud to know so many great ones. I hope today made you feel loved and appreciated in all the ways that feel best to you 🩷

Lily of the Valley always blooms just in time for my mother's birthday at the very beginning of May. I'm so grateful for her ever expanding garden bed of these beauties, which will be transplanted into my spring garden this autumn.

Just 60 days until spring! 🌱

Seed starting is well underway for all of our 2024 weddings and events on the books so far. I am growing so many exciting varieties this year, but I have to say I am most excited for the spring flowers in the dreamiest pastels and soft muted colors. It is easily my favorite palette to both grow and design with!

As each new seedling emerges under the grow lights, I think of the client who will carry it down the aisle or see it in an arrangement at their special event. There is nothing I've ever done that has felt more intentional and fulfilling 🤍

Since starting Feel Good Floral, I have been so grateful for the many ways I've become more deeply connected to my community. From small business owners, local growers and designers, supportive neighbors and friends, to all the wonderful clients who have trusted me and supported my dream along the way.

Dahlias are a little bit like kids. As soon as you get a break, you're scrolling through your phone looking at pictures, thinking about how much you miss them 😂 They've been gone for roughly 24 hours and I'm already reminiscing.

I'll be going from a few dozen dahlias I grew this year to roughly 400 next year. I'm so excited to offer these spectacular focal flowers in every shade of cream, ivory, blush and apricot to my brides as well as other local florists for wholesale orders.

The very last blooms of the season 🥹 I cut everything from the gardens last night with such gratitude and pride. This season taught me so much and connected me with so many wonderful clients, wedding industry friends old and new, and some amazing fellow growers and florists. While the fall brings some of the toughest work in the growing process, it also feels so good to wipe the slate clean and dream of what will come with the next season.

With a possible frost coming overnight, I cut every single dahlia in the garden and brought them inside. Another grower reminded me earlier today how good it feels to give ourselves flowers every once in a while, too. I'm hoping for a few more weeks of dahlias, but whatever happens overnight, these are bringing me so much joy!
