Workers’ Day has been officially recognised and observed since the first democratic elections in 1994. This holiday serves both as a celebration of workers’ rights and as a reminder of the critical role that trade unions and labour organisations played in the fight against Apartheid.

Today, was definately yet another one for the books.

Workers gathered at The University of the Western Cape Stadium in Bellville, Western Cape where they were addressed by the leadership of COSATU WC and entertained by various artists including Villa Brown, Heart & Soul Band and DJ Ben Hector.

OOR BERGE EN IN DALE, O'WERAL IS GOD!

I wish to acknowledge the many experiences I encountered over the years, with family and friends. Often the road has not been easy but I feel humbled and blessed that I am almost at the point of releasing my first album.

This traditional and well- known hymn has been in the public domain for generations and it attracted me to do my own arrangement of it.

"In Memory" gives praise to our forefathers and to me it is also a dedication to the many talented musicians we've lost over the years. They had big dreams and aspirations that was never fulfilled or achieved, but through their love for the art of music I salute them.

The release off this song must be an encouraged to all - The ability to triumph begins with each one of us, it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from.

My two brothers, Joseph Simon and Victor Leepile, thanks for all your efforts and professional input during the arrangement of this song.

I cannot wait to share the full album with you all ❤️
