Liz & Trevor were very intentional about their table decor and place settings. In order to continue their woodsy venue & theme, they included natural elements such as loose greenery, rocks from the North Shore, and wrote personalized notes for each guest to find at their seat. They wanted to stay connected to nature and sustainable through the use of reusable or compostable drinkware and tableware as well, which all tied into a beautiful, eco-friendly celebration!

As a planner, I love to encourage my couples to choose sustainable products and vendors. Let's chat about all the ways we can be better for the earth when planning our events and weddings!

On a chilly, snowy day like today, my mind wanders back to the romance of those warm summer sunsets. ☀️

A few ways you can slow down amid the hustle and excitement on your wedding day:
- take a walk just the two of you
- sneak away for sunset photos with your photographer
- grab a cocktail and find a quiet place to sit together
- take a refresh right before or after your ceremony
- wait a couple of minutes together after your guests find their seats before you join the party
- private pre-ceremony dance
- first look photos
- stop where you are and look around, taking in the details and smiles
- talk to each other about the day during dinner
- ask your caterer for your two plates to eat quietly during cocktail hour (then greet your guests during their dinner)
- grab your phones and take your own photos of each other

There are so many awesome resources for creating wedding programs these days, plus your photographer will appreciate having another item to use in their detail shots 😉

You want to be comfortable on your wedding day, so plan accordingly when shopping for your attire. Think about what the weather will be like during the season in which you're getting married. Will you be comfortable in a heavy, multi-layered gown or long sleeve button-up with a thick suit jacket? Or would a lighter option be better?
