📣 Special Announcement 📣 Wild Moon Australia is evolving. I created Wild Moon Australia 3 years ago with the intention of it being my platform to support my work for people with wombs as well as menstruation education 🩸 While I’ll continue to weave this important work into my practice at @anahata_healing_australia, Wild Moon is now expanding to encompass even more of my passions. Wild Moon is now the platform for my shame-resilience and seggs-positive work as well as my performance persona, Wild Velvet. Wild Moon’s mission statement is to create events that challenge the current paradigm. And Wild Velvet is the embodiment of my activism through art, using performance as a powerful tool for change. Church of SLTs’ (C.O.S) is one of the events that embodies this work. The first edition was shaped around performances showcasing a diversity of expressions of Er0s that isn’t shackled by shame and inhibitions. The first edition of C.O.S was a success and sold out event and the next one is coming up soon. Excitingly, Wild Moon will also bring you more transformative events in early 2025so watch this space. But that’s just the beginning. I’m absolutely in love with this work, and I’m frothing with excitement for what’s cooking behind the scenes. Welcome to the Church of SLTs (C.O.S), a space of reclamation for the sl%ts, the witches, and the outcasts.Here, we resist oppression in all its forms: sexual shame, body shame, and all other types of shame.This is a space to foster community around shared values of shame resilience and anti-oppression.At C.O.S, all bodies, genders, sexualities, and identity expressions are welcome and celebrated. We recognise and honour the interconnected nature of social categorisations such as race, class, and sexuality, which can lead to overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage. We strive to make this space inclusive and accessible to all, ensuring that physical, economic, and social barriers do not hinder participation. People of all body abilities and neurodiversity are embraced and valued here. My name is Marania. I birthed the C.O.S for a performance I recruited friends into and delivered at a party. I love performing on stage and i saw this as an opportunity to ally that with activism and a theme that is dear to my heart. The performance was met with an enthusiastic response. Many people reached out to me afterward, expressing how deeply the message resonated with them. It was then that I realised this was just the beginning of something much greater and the C.O.S needed to reach more people. And so here we are my dear Sl%ts... I sultrily invite you to join the Church of S%lts for our next Mass. The Church of SLTs Mass will be a regular event featuring guest performers.
