For Valentine’s Day Kade received $10 in the mail from my mom. Today he requested to go purchase doughnuts for his sister and himself with it. All on his own he walked into the store, stood in line, made decisions, and paid. Came back and gave his sis a kiss on the head and let her choose which flavor she preferred.

This was a big moment for our very independent 6 year old not because he’s shy and this is hard for him but because he CRAVES these moments of leadership, caring and self navigation. He wants so badly to be an adult (which is a familiar feeling to me).

Allowing him to have these opportunities to grow and learn is extremely important but man I want him to love where he is at in childhood as well.

Funny the things you look back on when you watch your kids grow🥹

This afternoon I got to experience a sound bath….on the WA coast…guided by my baby sister. Does it get any better than that!? The answer is no. This gal has always known me better than anyone else but she is just that way with people. Molly has a gift of tuning in with individuals that is extremely unique and the definition of a gift. If you’ve had the gift of Molly in your life you know exactly what I’m talking about. Honored to not only know her but call her my one and only baby Chica. You’re one talented lady and I’m stoked to see how the future unfolds for you!

Sometimes I look at my photos and yes I love the color schemes that were created, however I’m drawn to the details. The crinkles of the napkin, the shadows outlining the tiniest of leaves, the intricacy of the beading.

Sometimes all I need is the black and white.
