What’s The Gaffney Ledger going to do without Missy Reid Norris 🤣😂🤣. I didn’t FAIL to sign up. I promised one of the candidates that I would not run. It’s very important to me that I keep my word.

National Night Out has been postponed to October 1, 2024, due to the unpredictability of the weather. South Carolina is under a State of Emergency as 'Debby Downer' approaches the lowcountry, which means many of our planned participants are on standby. The anticipated rain later in the day could also disrupt various children’s activities and demonstrations. Please save the new date, October 1st, and keep our emergency responders in your thoughts.

I will be providing rides to the polls for early voting.

So many missed opportunities 😞.

This is an article from 2021. The citizens who attended expressed their concerns and made it clear that they wanted a community center and an indoor pool. Council voted to move forward with rebuilding Irene Pool with promises of swim meets and water safety programs. I continuously questioned what type of swim meet can you possibly have in a pool that small. There has been NO swim meet or swim practice. Another lie from the administration.

Mary Bramlett Elementary School was available and offered to the city. We were offered the SAME deal that the county was given when they were given Alma. The land alone is priceless!! This could have used the remaining COVID-19 funding to convert the building into something everyone could enjoy.

TIME!!! TIME!!!

I remember when I moved back to Gaffney and I would attend my uncle’s swearing in. I always wondered why were the city council members retired. I was foolish and thought that was the reason why Gaffney was not growing. Now that I’ve been a part of council I know why. You have to have TIME to be effective. This is not a part time job. There are countless meetings and conferences where people are working to make their cities better. You not only need love for Gaffney but also TIME to make our city GREAT ♥️.

Is the T-Bridge in Gaffney One of the Most Haunted in the State: Paranormal Monday

Gaffney, South Carolina, located in Cherokee County, is one of the most haunted counties, behind Abbeville and Charleston in the state and home to the iconic Peachoid that greets visitors on I-85.

The more fascinating part about this area is the number of bridges that are said to be paranormal hotspots. But, one bridge in the downtown area is just as eerie and spooky as all of the others we have written about.

The T-Bridge may not look like a place where specters come out to play at night, but according to many online sources, it would be in the same paranormal ballpark as the Gervais Street Bridge in Columbia, Poinsett Bridge, and even Cry Baby Bridge in Anderson.

Ghostly legend says the overpass bridge is home to a woman who walks it at night while carrying a basket. When approached, she disappears into thin air. Even the Gaffney Ledger covered this story on October 28, 2022.

It is also said to have a ghost car that will chase you if you run across it, just appearing behind you with no one in it.

With just 70 days until the beginning of fall. Now is the perfect time to get your scare on and plan for a spooky season of haunts and road trips.
