Not bad for my first class!
I’ve been wanting to play the sax again for so long (since I stopped 14 years ago) but life keeps getting in the way. I’ve considered myself a non practicing musician for so long that many people are in shock when I tell them I actually play the pan and piano as my main instruments.
I finally made a commitment to do this and achieve the goals I set for myself to one day play in a Jazz Festival.
So here I am, posting the first step of my restarted musical journey where I intend to train myself in patience and vulnerability. Though my musical ear is judging the pitch and quality of those scales, I’m happy that I took that scary first step toward slaying my goals.

Today, 3 years ago was my first day on @hott935 and I was fortunate to work with @amanda.elliot who gave me full support and encouragement. I was super nervous and concentration was on MAX! 😂😂😂.
Over time, @warrenp868 has been a great mentor, constantly challenging me to step out of my comfort zone and believing in me even more than I believe in myself.
Thank you to the entire @hott935 family for taking the chance on me, a newbie who was visibly shaking and was terrified to talk on the mic 🤣🤣
