2 years ago today, I took a leap of faith, quit my 9-5 and dove headfirst into entrepreneurship 🥂
Being a business owner is very similar to being on a rollercoaster🎢 It's an absolutely WILD ride with its fair share of of ups and downs. From navigating unexpected twists & turns to juggling multiple roles, this chapter has been a crash course in resiliency, creativity, and determination.
It's where I've discovered my true strengths, flexed my problem-solving skills, pushed the boundaries of what's possible, and embraced the thrill of charting my own course.

Pro Tip: Book your vendors early!
Life is busy and unpredictable. Booking your favorite vendors, gathering inspo, setting up a wedding website with answers to commonly asked questions from guests (like dress code, registry, hotel accommodations, directions, etc.) when you have down time can ease stress & save you time. The more things you take care of early on, the more relaxed you will feel!

We put a LOT of hours into creating the event of your dreams, and while the process can be challenging at times, the end result of our hard work ALWAYS pays off🕺🏻🪩
This one was ✨extra special ✨ because it was for my husband, Nick! For his “golden” 30th birthday (i.e., when the date of your birth coincides with your age), I wanted the entire design to be filled with monochromatic hues.
I worked on the backdrops in the basement and because this is the norm around here, he just assumed it was for another party 😜 This was TRULY a surprise for him, with a BONUS surprise of friends flying in that he hadn’t seen in a while.
We still talk about this day often, and we are so grateful for the memories we created 💛

My very professional opinion here is simply “nope!”
Looking for some ways to modernize these trends? Try these:
1. Omitting this trend altogether is my #1 advice, but if you are looking for something to replace, an interactive flower bar or a donation to your favorite charity… something that doesn’t make Grandma cringe 😬
2. ~2 is the sweet spot. If you have a lot of loved ones who want to express themselves, have them write you a personalized note instead. Sometimes the most sentimental things feel more personal when not read aloud🌈
3. Invite their significant others to the head table instead of having them sit at a table alone with people they barely know — the more the merrier!

This allows the couple to step away from the weight of the emotions and pressure surrounding the wedding and focus on some of the fun details. When they can step into playing the role of hosts and planning a beautiful and delicious dinner party filled with exquisite and memorable details, they end up with a beautiful result!

Many "things" will, in fact, "go wrong." Jamie wanted an outdoor ceremony SO badly. But when the day came, we had our first snowfall of the year and it was absolutely FREEZING, so they decided having the ceremony inside was the best decision to keep their guests comfortable. The result was something totally ✨unique✨ and even more “them” than the original plan! All this to say — no matter how it ends up, it's exactly as it's meant to be. All the worry, stress, anxiety won't change a thing. So find your dream team of vendors, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride — it might turn out better than expected.🤍

This is not only a sustainable option, but it ensures that your guests will enjoy those beautiful blooms all night long.
