Azahar or Orange 🍊 Blossom has been gently dancing in the wind before falling on Valencian sidewalks.
That is the aroma of spring in a city where I hardly drink freshly squeezed orange juice.
Is it because it is too normal? Too casual? Too acidic?
Locals like their sugar in their cafe con leche, but orange blossom syrup is nowhere to be found.

Dear Empandronad@s! Important news!
I have been back home in Iceland for the past 2 months working on two important projects - my exhibition of new materials using food waste - Solidus Liquidus - and multitasking at my big brother’s wedding - cooking, leading sutartinės acapella songs and traditional dances.
I have just landed in Madrid and new responsibilities have flooded over me as I will be cooking sattvic food for a yoga retreat near Cullera until Sunday 2nd of October and will share soon more about it.
The big news is that I have decided at the last minute to stay in Iceland from end of October until January! The reason behind it is that every two years in December and January I work for an symposium in the windiest town of Iceland - Garður and going back to meal plans for only 2,5 months did not make much sense, especially since I am still looking for a space to cook at and paying for it and an empty room is not very economic. Right?
Do not worry though, am still Empandronada in Spain and even from afar I will keep up the food coming in digital format! If you would like to know more about it, subscribe to my newsletter (Only Important updates and meal plans in the future) to get the information about the digital options to keeping yourself fed and well!
