I’ve been going through old photos lately. Not so surprisingly, they are 90% flowers 😂 But I have so many beautiful events and arrangements that I haven’t shared because I can tend to be a bit of a perfectionist, even on IG. Maybe I don’t get the professional photos that I was waiting on or now the season is off, etc. But, nevertheless, beautiful things that need to be shared!

We are so grateful to have had over 150 new and longstanding clients, neighbors and friends who supported and trusted us to express their love this week. I can’t imagine a better community to spend my 6th Valentine’s with!!

On a final note, here’s our tips to get the most out of your flowers:

1. Add water- there’s a lot of blooms in there and they drink up fast so make sure your vase is filled to the top.
2. Change the water—often.
Bacteria is the #1 bouquet killer. Once it builds up, your flowers are on borrowed time.
Fresh water is actually more powerful than flower food. Change it daily if possible, and rinse the vase while you’re at it.
3. Trim the stems. (I do not recommend this with custom designed vase arrangements)
If got loose stems or a wrapped bouquet and you can easily pop the bouquet out of the vase, the you can re cut the stems. Cut about half an inch off the bottom every couple of days, always at an angle. This helps the stems
drink up fresh water more easily and stay perky longer.
3. Keep them cool.
Sunlight, heat, and even nearby fruit can shorten vase life. Keep your flowers in a bright-but-cool spot and away from anything that gives off heat or ethylene gas (looking at you, bananas).
Flowers aren’t meant to last forever—but with a little love, they’ll stick around long enough to brighten every room (and mood) they’re in.

This is where designing with intention leads! I’m finding inspiration in the things around me from the weather and changing of the season to my own emotions. I’m loving the use of natural elements like vines and grasses in unique ways to create visual movement as we transition from one season to the next.
