May is always a special month for me. Nine years ago my belly was pOppin’ and I gave birth to the most beautiful little baby girl.

Over the years, for her birthday, I have always made a fun sign with her name to decorate the big window in the dining room. But last year, I couldn’t make the signs I usually do since covid had me working from home and I no longer had the ability to print them.

I decided to try making a balloon garland. Found a video on YouTube and it looked as easy as 1-2-3. I CAN DO THIS!!!!

I made a huge garland that came out so awesome and I couldn’t wait for Minka to wake up to it the next morning. She was soooo happy!!!! She absolutely LOVED it!!!! It really was so pretty, all the metallic colors.. And I was very proud of the job I did.

But three weeks later I still didn’t want to take it down!!! All the time I put into it, and it still looked g👀d so why do we have to destroy it yet???

And that’s when I took the idea I came up with a couple weeks earlier and thought to myself.. Why not fill up ALL the balloons in the garland with candy!??! That way we don’t feel bad about popping something so pretty, and at the same time it’s a super fun experience!!!

So that’s what I did!!! And that, my friends, is why and how pOp! became an idea for a business..

This is Chase! Last year, the first pOp ever created was tossed to him at his 8th birthday parade!
Today, he turned 9 and he woke up to a super awesome gamer themed Candy pOp - WITH SWORDS! 🎈

There were sooooo many special surprises inside! I had to hook up the ‘inspiration kid’! Happy Birthday Buddy!

Wooohooo it’s a big day! Today makes one year since the creation of the very first pOp! 🎈

On April 29, 2020 a boy named Chase turned eight years old and both of my kids had a birthday parade to go to. Except shortly before the parade was going to start, I realized I didn’t have a present!!!

OH NO!!! What am I going to do?!!

I had these giant white balloons left over from my party, so I grabbed one and started filling it with whatever I could...microwaved popcorn, package candies, etc and then I blew it up and wrote all over it ‘Happy Birthday!’ and ‘pop for present!’ 🎈

Unfortunately, that balloon popped on the way out the door!!! I filled up another one quickly but didn’t have enough time to decorate it like I did the first. We got to his parade on time, tossed the balloon out the window to the birthday boy - and that, my friends, is exactly HOW, WHY and WHEN the very first pop creation was born!

It became the new way we gave presents whenever we did a birthday parade. I’d fill up a few balloons with candy and some cash and out the window they go!

Let’s wish a pOppin Happy Birthday to Chase, the inspiration kid! I hope he loves this year’s creation! 🎈
