A game of 2 halves indeed! Penicuik took control of the game from the kick off and took an early lead and continued to be in control as they went 2-0 in front. However Longniddry kept playing and started to get into the game more as the first half went on and Penicuik started to make errors, started to not get those second balls and Longniddry finished the first half the stronger. The second half and Longniddry were back in the game by scoring within a minute. They grew more and more into the game and were in control and deservedly brought the game level at 2-2.
Penicuik however scored from a corner to take the lead 3-2 against the play. As much as Longniddry tried they just couldn't get back level again as Penicuik hoofed the ball anywhere away from their goal and as the game drew to a close, Penicuik took the win and the cup.
