Watching all of the planning come together never gets old. 💕

Despite the forecast changing 100 times and raining most of the day, the skies gave us the most incredible gift, a perfectly timed break just in time for their beautiful outdoor ceremony. It truly felt like everything fell into place exactly as it was meant to.

When couples hire a wedding coordinator, they're trusting someone with months (sometimes years!) of planning.

Wedding mornings aren't glamorous.

The biggest wedding planning mistake I see? Couples waiting too long to book their dream vendors.

One of the hardest conversations I have with newly engaged couples is when their first-choice venue or photographer is already booked.

The truth is, many of the most sought-after wedding professionals book 12–18 months in advance—sometimes even earlier for popular spring and fall dates.

If you're newly engaged, here's the order I usually recommend:

✔️ Venue
✔️ Wedding Planner/Coordinator
✔️ Photographer
✔️ Caterer (if needed)
✔️ DJ/Band
✔️ Florist
✔️ Hair & Makeup

Once those key vendors are secured, everything else starts falling into place.

Planning ahead doesn't just give you more options—it also helps reduce stress throughout the entire planning process.

There are dozens of little details that happen on a wedding day that most couples never even think about...

✨ Making sure bouquets arrive before photos.
✨ Lining everyone up before the ceremony.
✨ Keeping the timeline moving without anyone feeling rushed.
✨ Finding safety pins, stain remover, tissues, or bobby pins when they're suddenly needed.
✨ Coordinating with vendors so you don't have to answer questions all day.
✨ Making sure your favorite drink is waiting for you after the ceremony.

My goal is simple:

I want you to spend your wedding day making memories—not solving problems.

If everything goes according to plan, you may never even realize how much was happening behind the scenes... and honestly, that's exactly how it should be.

This is one of the questions I hear most often.

The answer? They actually have very different jobs.

Your venue coordinator is there to represent the venue—making sure the space, staff, and venue logistics run smoothly.

A wedding coordinator represents you.

That means:
✨ Managing your timeline
✨ Coordinating vendors
✨ Answering everyone's questions
✨ Keeping the day on schedule
✨ Solving last-minute issues
✨ Making sure your vision comes to life

Both roles are valuable, but they're not interchangeable.

When people picture a wedding planner, they usually imagine someone fluffing dresses and cueing the ceremony.

But long before wedding day, there are countless hours spent...

✔️ Building timelines
✔️ Confirming vendors
✔️ Answering questions
✔️ Solving problems before they happen
✔️ Making sure every detail works together seamlessly

The goal isn't just a beautiful wedding, it's making sure you actually get to enjoy it.

The best compliment I can receive is hearing, "I didn't have to worry about a thing."

One of the biggest wedding planning mistakes couples make has nothing to do with the budget—it’s trying to book vendors before having a clear vision for the day.

Before reaching out to venues, photographers, florists, or DJs, spend some time talking about what matters most to the two of you.

Ask yourselves:
🤍 What do we want our guests to remember?
🤍 What moments are most important to us?
🤍 Are we planning a big celebration or an intimate experience?

Having those answers first makes every other decision so much easier (and often saves money, too!).

Every wedding should reflect the couple, not just the latest Pinterest trend.
