My grandpa loved gardening and believed that there could never be too many dahlias in one garden and I couldn’t agree more. Although he favoured a yellow or orange dahlia, at Flowers in Edinburgh we tend to opt for the slightly more subtle shades with the “café au lait” dahlia being a firm favourite 🌸

Gladioli are such versatile flowers lending structure and elegance to lots of flowers designs. My favourite way to style them is in my beloved vase and I think they look simply stunning in it. Then again, I’ve yet to find a flower that doesn’t look good in this vase. The shops are now selling vibrant orange gladioli that would be perfect in a Halloween display 🎃🌼
