Jeremy, as many of you will recognize as one of our cooks at Belle V., passed away yesterday.

As we sat with our family this morning, remembering Jeremy, we asked each person to say something special that Jeremy brought into their life, besides the delicious food he helped prepare at Belle V.

We want to share those memories here.

Jeremy was a hard worker and always had a smile on his face, even when Chef was reprimanding him.

Jeremy was Jonas’ first friend in America and taught him the art of “towel whipping.”

Jeremy taught Eleeana how to defend herself and she loved his nickname for her, “Beast.” She especially loved this nickname because she felt that Jeremy understood how strong she was on the inside.

Jeremy was passionate about skiing and is the person who inspired Maxem to grow out his hair for Wigs for Kids.

And for me, Jeremy was loyal and brave. On one particularly busy and rough night, Jeremy once stood up for me, making himself the target of an unstable person’s wrath and also my hero in that moment.

Jeremy, thank you for the good that you brought into our lives. We hope there are powder days in Heaven.

It is with an abundance of love that we announce that tonight is the last night Belle V. Bistro will serve the community of Breckenridge from our location at 500 S. Main Street. While we transition to our next step, Chef Stephane will be available for private functions and in-home cooking ([email protected]). To all of you who have taken the time to eat at our place, to celebrate your birthdays, weddings and anniversaries there, to say encouraging words to our children as they bussed tables, to tip our staff for their stellar service and to genuinely care about us THANK YOU for being part of our story and letting us be part of yours. How do you decide who pays the tab after a night of cocktails and small plates? Well, according to this table “Credit Card Roulette.” Everyone pitches their credit card in the bowl, the server draws them out randomly one by one (“to build suspense”) and the last one to be drawn pays the tab!!

When you dine with us, we do our best to infuse your entire experience with love. Take this banquet, for example, which was hand painted with this message written to all of our guests:
