I’ll be debuting some new techno and progressive trance tracks and fusing them with my classic funky house to curate a melodic-heavy soundscape. I’m keen to see how this plays out in practice 😂 It won’t be an ordinary SMISH set, that’s for sure 😝

I can't believe I'm only 5 days away from seeing my new event baby come to life! 😍

Space Misheen Vol. 1 has been a very strange one for me to plan and figure out. This vibe is quite different to my usual scene, and I'm curating an entire night that's a bit out of my comfort zone.
I'll be debuting completely new music, and I even struggled with creating the posters as the colour scheme took a while for me to come up with.
After realising this was due to my synesthesia (for me, I associate sound with colour), I spent quite a while listening to the different types of music I wanted to have at this event and really trying to feel into what visuals came up, and then once this colour palette clicked, I couldn't un-see it ☺️

It's been so interesting experimenting with different sounds, colours and themes. I really feel like I'm unleashing so much of my creative potential, and I'm so excited to see how it all comes together on Saturday night! 🤩

SMISH; a Brisbane-based DJ, Flow Artist and Event Planner dedicated to providing fresh and funky flavours far and wide. Her musical tastes are heavily influenced by her time living in South East Asia and her love for the flair and fun that erupts from South America.
With her unique fusion of upbeat quirky funk, tech and bass house varieties with groovy bass lines and glitchy undertones, SMISH is sure to get bodies moving and grooving on the dance floor.
From her sets, you can expect lots of spicy and energetic drops paired with her erratic and varied musical taste, leaving you with the sizzling anticipation of not knowing what to expect next.

Since her debut gig in October 2021, SMISH has played at a number of boutique clubs, warehouse raves and doofs in QLD, NSW and Vietnam. She’s also played on stages at iconic music festivals such as Bohemian Beatfreaks, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and NYX Festival.
