Had a dinner party this past weekend with family and friends. Filet, chicken breast, roasted potatoes, balsamic asparagus and Parmesan garlic shrimp. My niece brought her first ever homemade cheese cake with fresh blackberry compote on top, she did a fantastic job. I luv what I do, LUMI

Did a little graduation celebration for two families tonight at the Hut in North Augusta. It’s always a blessed day to take care of people that you know. Did a little catering today in Charleston and we had some fun. A special shout out to the Huynh family for allowing me to prepare the lunch for their special occasion. Have food will travel!!

Had a great time doing a birthday dinner party this weekend. Deviled crab casserole with roasted red pepper sauce, Filet with herb garlic butter, roasted squash and zucchini and roasted sweet potatoes. Finished it off with a layered lemon cello pound cake. Special thanks to the Blizzard family for allowing me to serve them. I also want to thank Maria for taking some awesome photos for me and a shout out to Grice’s butcher shop for the outstanding filets.

So this Masters Week I have been preparing dinner at a house in Champions Retreat for an organization named Convoy of Hope. I am generally one to not step out there and say something about an organization, but this is a really great one. These were the nicest most loving people to be around. I told them that I would feed there bellies and that they would feed my soul. So if you ever want to donate to an organization that does great work, look them up on convoyofhope.org or check them out on social media pages. Thank you to Convoy of Hope for allowing me to prepare your meals, it was an honor and pleasure. Luv U Mean It you guys are awesome!

Granddaddy called it Shrimp Roux. A deep roux mixed with shrimp stock to make a rich gravy and then I made shrimp meatballs and drop them in to cook. I make the shrimp meatballs to put a twist on the recipe and it works. This is my family’s version of shrimp and grits.

I love me some Shrimp Perlew just the way Grandmama cooked it. Combination of bacon, onion, bell pepper, shrimp and rice all cooked together in a cast iron skillet. A little tid bit is to rinse your rice before you cook it. Ask the old cooks, they’ll know what I’m talking about.

Had a great time cooking a Birthday dinner for friends last night. My version of shrimp scampi, Jenn Rae’s salad, Filet & Cod , sautéed zucchini/ squash, roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted potatoes with bacon and Parmesan and Banana Pudding cake to top it off. I love doing what I do.

Jennraes salad with apple cider vinaigrette, sliced apples and dried cranberries. Pork tenderloin filet with tomato & onions on top, roasted sweet potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts with pomegranate. Filet with garlic butter, roasted green beans with fresh herbs and twice baked potato. Chicken and tomato purlow made with my mom’s red rice recipe Gullah style. Just a few things I can do.
