Today For The Good Co. turned one. This past year has been nothing short of a dream. I’m still not sure how I managed to get this far, but I do know that I am so incredibly blessed and am so incredibly thankful to be where I am today. I never thought I would even end up here, but God had other plans for my life and has continued to fling doors wide open. I might be crazy but I truly believe the best is yet to come.

If I’ve seemed a little MIA lately, it may have something to do with the fact that I graduated college on Saturday. 17 year old me still can’t believe we made it here. Everyone told me going to school to be a teacher and trying to start a videography business with no knowledge of even how to use a camera would never work, but here we are and all I have to say is I told you so. Always chase your dreams kids.🤍

I’m so thankful that Jesus sacrificed His life for me (and you), and am even more thankful that today I can celebrate that He is risen and alive. Without Jesus this is meaningless and everything else in life would be as well. BUT because of Jesus I have hope and a future and a father who loves me beyond my wildest imagination. Jesus is alive and He truly does change everything.

As much as I love this, sometimes I hate it too. I spent half of the day today trying to make reels to post, but honestly I couldn’t get myself to finish any of them because I just felt like they all sucked. Oh and fun fact. I hate reels. And I hate the fact that social media makes me hate my work because all I want to do is compare myself to everyone else. I look at how non aesthetic my feed sometimes compared to everyone else’s and wonder if it ever turns people away. I bet it does. But you know, it is what it is. I never started this to follow all of the rules. In fact, I’m pretty sure I don’t follow most of them. Everyone says to post all the time. I don’t. Everyone says to make tons of reels. I don’t. Everyone says your feed needs to be aesthetic. Mine is as ugly as it could possibly be LOL. Everyone says you need to niche down to be successful. I shoot everything because telling stories of all kinds is what is important to me (and sometimes I take pictures too *GASP*). So you see, I don’t care about what I’m supposed to be doing. Maybe I should, but I don’t. I don’t care about the trends or having a nice feed, I just care about doing good, investing in others, and having the ability to tell stories that matter. If I can just do that then nothing else really matters to me. So I apologize for having a lame feed and for literally being the least trendy person ever, but if you’ve stuck around this long thank you. Thank you for believing in me and this little thing called For The Good Co. It really does mean the world.🫶🏼

Tomorrow morning some very special kids will get to have a very special Christmas all because you all believed in me and supported For The Good Co. A simple thank you will never be good enough to express how I feel, but thank you. Thank you for supporting my dream and seeing my vision for FTG, it truly means the absolute world to me. Oh and hey 17 year old Mackenzie, we did it.🥹

This picture means the absolute world to me but it’s only possible because of all of you so thank you.
