A week or so ago was the first ever Essa North Renaissance Festival up in Barrie Ontario, and it was great - there's even a news article featuring me (link in comments b/c ).

And even better, a more-than-Adequate fan () gifted me with this fine, hand-drawn pic (which I scanned and added a bit of color, just for grins).

Coming up this Sat. July 20th is the Something Strange Sideshow Expo in Toronto (just a few tickets still available - link in comments because again, you know) and after that my favorite event of the year: The Ontario Pirate Festival, August 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Y'arrr better be there.

I will say that over at The Ontario Pirate Festival we're doing our best to recapture that feeling of wonder, excitement, and community that was persuasive at the old Milton event, so I hope you'll see me there August 3,4,5...!

Adequate Ontario friends and fans! I was in Leamington two weekends ago, last weekend I was at the Niagara Renaissance Faire (video! I remembered to shoot one!) and this coming weekend, May 25/26 I'll be at the Wentworth Medieval Faire in lovely Ancaster! Come join me on my spring Ontario tour! First off, thanks to everyone who donated for my birthday (see the post below). Secondly, hey you Georgia Renaissance Festival fans - you were so very much more than Adequate. You were so fantastic I've already agreed to come back next year! (But for now, Tuey Wilson: Comic Stunt Juggler will keep the stage warm - give him a hello from me, woncha?)

Tomorrow (and Sunday!) I'll be at the Leamington Fair - that is, the Leamington Agricultural District Renaissance Festival in lovely Leamington Ontario (and next week, the Niagara Renaissance Faire - but that's next Saturday, so enough about that).

Okay folks - gotta pack my rats and get driving! Where-ever you are and whatever you're doing, have at least an Adequate time!

Adequate fans at the Georgia Renaissance Festival - first off, new fans, hey, thanks for following, and welcome! But also! This coming weekend, May 4/5, is my final one in Georgia in 2024, so if you were gonna come out, come back, or tell thousands of your friends and family to come see me, this is the time!

Finally, it can be told! My 2024 tour (so far...!) - pretty much all these dates are confirmed, but yanno, things happen. Nonetheless, plan yer schedule accordingly, and now! Michigan friends and fans! These guys are a top-notch band - if you like people in kilts playing music (and I know you do), this a band not to be missed. Far more than adequate, and I don't say that lightly. Get tix if there are still some available (and tell the guy in glasses that Zoltan sencha!).

Michigan! I have pulled out of you, but not before we all had a glorious finish together. A fantastic 16 days (and only one rain day!) - it was a grand season and I'm glad everyone came.

Connecticut! I will be at The Connecticut Renaissance Faire this weekend, on the Sovereign Stage at 11:30a, 2p and the Weird Show at 3:45p, for the final two weekends! (Oct 7-8-9 and 14-15) I can't wait to once again be in your New Englandian embrace.

Three days ago I was performing in Michigan, I'm in Canada now, and in three days I'll be performing in Connecticut - not a bad life for a do**us and his rats, really.

Hey you Adequate Fans!
Just two more weekends left of the Michigan Renaissance Festival! This coming weekend (Sept. 23/24) is Deaf Awareness weekend, and at least one (but maybe two?) of my shows will have an ASL interpreter! But also, I'm (semi)fluent in ASL, so if you are too and wanna come chat with Zoltan, you can find me near the Mud Stage.

Also! I've been made aware that students with good grades get in for free (all festival days - sorry for the late news). From the MIrf website (https://www.michrenfest.com/discounts/):

"The Michigan Renaissance Festival honors your academic achievement. Your Honor Roll status entitles you to a complimentary ticket to the 2023 festival, absolutely free of cost.
To claim your ticket, simply present your A or B report card at the box office or show it via your phone or dedicated app to our attendant. This promotion is valid for all current students from elementary to college level."

Sub-average hearing and good grades, two things that Zoltan's known for. (Plus, yanno, magic and fire and rats and stuff.)

HELLO MICHIGAN FRIENDS!!!! RESCU needs people to pour beer final weekend, and BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: the faire is letting anyone who works a full day shift have a full weekends pass, so work one day and you can play two, and those workers passes mean free parking too!!!! Bring me your friends, relatives and favorite patrons!!!!
Friday NEED 15-20: WE HAVE 6 Full, 9 Partial
Saturday NEED 10-15: WE HAVE 26 Full, 2 Partial
Sunday NEED 20-25: WE HAVE 16 Full, 8 partial

The Michigan Renaissance Festival has again invited us to raise money on the final weekend by staffing the beer booths; all tips and a % of beer sales will be donated to RESCU!

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We need VOLUNTEERS to serve at the beer booths on
Friday, September 29th from 9:15 am - 7:15 pm
Saturday, September 30th from 9:15 am - 7:15 pm
Sunday, October 1st from 9:15 am - 7:15 pm

If someone is not able to work a full, 10-hour day they could volunteer for a 5-hour shift from noon-5:00 pm.

Folks will serve beer, wine, cocktails, or any combination of these.

Servers need to be dressed in renaissance attire/costume.

A few of the booths also need a worker in the back, those persons will not need a costume.

Each volunteer will receive a parking pass for that date (to park beyond the front gate with the cast).

Please plan to enjoy the festival on another date, our volunteers will be busy all day long!

Know that the money raised will benefit RESCU Foundation, Inc., the charity that assists the participants of Renaissance festivals and faires nationwide with all things medical.

RESCU also:
Organizes low or zero cost visits with Medical Healthcare Providers
Distributes first aid kits and other tangible wellness products
Provides AED units at shows across the country
Provides First Aid & CPR Training, NARCAN Training, Mental Health First Aid Training, Yoga, and other fitness/wellness classes

Oh, Zoltan the Adequate, magician rare,
Whose heart delights in creatures most unfair.
A lover of rats, with nimble fingers,
He weaves illusions, enchanting as singers.

With wand in hand, he casts his mystic spells,
Creating wonders where true magic dwells.
His incantations, a poetic dance,
Summoning marvels, his rats enhance.

Oh, Zoltan, thou dost charm with thy art,
A maestro of sorcery, playing his part.
Thine affinity for rodents so profound,
In thy presence, they're noble creatures crowned.
