Opening day of my first restaurant in 1998. Happy Endings. Wellfleet.

Started as a dessert and espresso that kind of place, and then everybody kept asking me about lunch and dinner ……
So the following day we were open for lunch and dinner. It was BYOB back then and was a lot of fun.
Unfortunately, the owner of the building where I was decided to raise the rent so I couldn’t afford it the next year.
I moved on and then following winter I started working on buying a house and opening another restaurant.
The end result of that was a beautiful home in Eastham at the head of the national seashore, and the Blue Willow, which still stands today.

It’s fun looking back and makes me realize that if you want something badly enough, the universe will open up and give it to you.
Of course…. You do have to be careful what you wish for.

I am and have been very fortunate in my ventures. Some turned out better than others but always an interesting experience.

Back to 2025, Saturday, January 11..
It doesn’t look to be a great business day so I am going to work on upcoming business instead.

I may be changing my days to Tuesday - Friday and cease Saturdays for a bit. Super quiet on the weekends in the middle of winter.

I hope to see you all @ the window soon.

Hello everyone, so today it’s supposed to be in the high 20s and it’s only gonna get colder over the next week. I am going to work on my truck today to see if I can get it a little bit more insulated for the coming weeks before the winter break. I will see you on Tuesday or Wednesday. I’ll let you know. Hi everybody,

I have developed a holiday menu with a few things on it that you might be interested in.
If you’d like to order any of these items, one or more, just private message me and I’ll get the message and we’ll be all set. I’m doing deliveries or pick ups and I’m not.
For Christmas, deliveries or pick ups need to be picked up by 1PM on Christmas Eve.
For New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day everything must be picked up or delivered by the 29th. I have a Catering engagement on New Year’s Eve and I’m closed on New Year’s Day.

The hours of the festival are 9-5.

So, I am not doing a lot of extra work for Thanksgiving this year, but, I will be making our famous Key Lime Pies and Pumpkin Pies for purchase.

They will be available for pick up between 3 -5:30 on Tuesday, November 26 @ 116 Rte 6a in Orleans.

If you would like to order 1 or more, please message me up until 4 pm Sunday the 24th.

There is a possibility for delivery under special circumstances.

My hope is to have orders for at LEAST 20 of each kind of pie.
