Amanda has truly been part of our family for years. She and my brother David first started dating while he was stationed in Kentucky with the Army. Living miles apartâAmanda in Raleigh and David on baseâthey didnât let the distance or the challenges of a deployment, college stress, and time zones keep them apart. These two were destined to make it. đ
After earning her first degree, Amanda decided to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse, enrolling in âs BSN program. This brought her closer to us and allowed her and David to build a life together. Meanwhile, David transitioned from his military service into his new career, becoming an EMT and quickly working toward becoming a paramedic.
Both of them enrolled in rigorous 18-month programs that tested their commitment and endurance, with countless late nights studying, clinicals, and exams. But their hard work paid off in a big wayâtwo graduations, just one day apart! đ Our families couldnât have been prouder to celebrate these incredible milestones.
But David had one more surprise up his sleeve. He had been planning to propose for some time but waited patiently so they could focus on school. Hours after Amandaâs graduation on December 13th, the moment we had all been waiting for finally arrived. Despite a few hiccups (whatâs a great story without them?), the proposal was everything Amanda had dreamed of and more. Both families were there to witness the unforgettable moment, and I had the privilege of helping David bring his vision to life with the help of some amazing Charlotte Bride Guide VIP vendors - + đ€©
The best part? Iâm officially gaining a sister! đ„đ Congratulations, David and Amandaâyou are both proof that hard work, patience, and love always win.
đ„ to you two đ€
