Never stop practicing your craft. Every successful Instagram famous witch was once a newbie. Consistency breeds results, results breed confidence, confidence breeds success, rinse repeat. You cannot have success in magic just dabbling. You must be consistent.
Stop comparing yourself to other Instagram witches who post fancy magazine worthy pictures. You would be surprised if you knew how many of these witches are better photographers than witches. They make pretty pictures that potential clients are drawn to like a moth to a flame. It looks so magical, it has to be real right? Wrong. Some of those witches only power is the belief of their customers. The customer looks at the picture, they believe that’s what ‘real’ magic rituals should look like because they watched Hocus Pocus therefore their belief creates the results not the actual witch’s magic. On the other hand they will go to a real witch who is doing a ritual that’s been passed down in her family for generations and because it does not look like what they saw on hocus-pocus and is simple in set up they doubt the magic therefore getting in the way of its manifestation.
Everything is about intention. Before talking pictures and Hollywood making movies depicting what supposed rituals looked like our ancestors were doing said rituals in the forest, the plantation cotton fields, jungles and the deserts with nothing more than fabric, blood, dirt, twigs, fire and rage and getting results every time without one candle or crystal in sight. This is real magic. What makes magic real and legit is your intention. You get in your own way if you think you need anything from modern society to do magic. Reconnect back to our tribal ancestors. Challenge yourself to use only things found in nature or hand crafted by you. Real magic is also ugly, not magazine worthy, discombobulated and messy. Don’t let Instagram or Hollywood fool you.
