At Amanda Para Events, one of our initial tactics is to define the "brand" of the event. Whether a wedding, a corporate event or private party - we set color palette, overall aesthetic and event fonts. ​​​​​​​​

Weather can be a magical or mischievous detail of the day. A creative partner of mine was working Hair and Makeup for a Texas wedding when a freak winter storm hit and caused torrential rain and flooded the roads. It was straight out of a movie. The guests were stranded on the other side of the property with no way to make it to the venue and every alternate plan had to be engaged. The couple, who chose to wed, no matter who could be there - went with the flow and savored their ((unintentionally)) very small nuptials and reception with half their vendors and many of their guests unable to attend. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When planning a winter event, it’s critical to consider not only the plans the venue has in place for inclement weather but also the plans your guest may have. Will they be driving through a low water crossing? Is there a bridge that is known to ice over? Will there be heaters available if it’s gets cold?
