The 21st Annual Waccamaw Land & Timber SHIVER FOR THE SHELTER Golf Tournament benefiting The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach has been rescheduled to THIS Saturday, December 9 at Arcadian Shores Golf Club. Last year's event brought in 7 tons of food and litter and we've raised 149 tons over the years.
We are still in need of items for the Prize Drawing and Silent Auction. No donation is too small and popular items include gift cards, tickets, golf, wine and pretty much anything else. Please consider helping us to help the furry friends at the shelter. Thank you in advance, as any consideration is greatly appreciated.

Many of you are long time participants of this event and may remember 2018 when we were forced to reschedule the tournament 3 times due to inclement weather. While we have been quite fortunate with the weather over the course of our history, this year Mother Nature has thrown us a curveball with forecasted rain of 90% for this Saturday.
In an effort to provide the most comfortable and enjoyable playing conditions for all involved and to provide the best outcome for food and litter for our furry friends, WE ARE RESCHEDULING THE TOURNAMENT TO NEXT SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9. All times and details will remain the same, just one week later.
We truly wish that we didn't have to make this change and we hope that your schedule will allow you and your teammates to participate next week.
Please let us know one way or the other if you will be joining us next week. If you have name changes for your players, please provide that information as soon as possible. There are a few team spots remaining and some sponsorship opportunities remain, should you know of anyone who may be interested.

We find ourselves in need of prizes for the drawing at the 21st Annual Waccamaw Land & Timber SHIVER FOR THE SHELTER Golf Tournament benefiting the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, December 2 at Arcadian Shores Golf Club in Myrtle Beach.
With such a minimal entry fee being charged, the committee must seek outside funding to offset the course fees and expenses. We will hold a drawing for prizes including hotel stays, trips, spa packages, food and beverage certificates, golf certificates and a host of other items. With that in mind, we are asking that you consider making a donation, either in the form of prizes or monetarily to help with expenses. We realize that you receive many requests for assistance throughout the year, but we would ask that you give this event special consideration, as challenging times like these pose difficulties for all charities as resources are scarce. We all know the impact of our family pets on our lives. Equally important are the orphaned animals housed at our local Humane Society. Your support of this event is a small way of giving those unfortunate animals one more chance of finding a healthy and happy future.
This event is limited to competitors who have a love for animals and a passion for golf. The 2022 event generated SEVEN TONS of food for the animals and over the years has brought in OVER 149 tons of food and litter for the shelter.
