These last 2 months have certainly been some of the strangest of our lives, and by March 23 when weddings pretty much ground to a halt, we weren’t sure what to do with Kindred

Did we promote this business even harder but maybe be seen to be capitalising on COVID19? And would that be so bad seeing as all our personal Wedding and event based work had ground to a halt - I mean how and where were any of us going to generate income? Would the government packages even help small sole traders? So many questions

It was decided to leave Kindred alone for a little while. While Kate & Mary could be part of your 5 person only ceremony (which is what we normally do anyway), with restrictions not allowing Erin to do makeup for our Brides, it didn’t seem right as this is a collaborative business

We are HUGELY pleased to say though, that from this Saturday, makeup artists can again be in business; which means are now good to go again for all your run away and get married needs

While we know you can’t wait to get back to celebrating in big groups, isolation time has had a lot of couples look at things differently, and see that the most important thing is the 2 of them and their love

A Kindred Elopement starts with Hair & Makeup for the Bride (or Brides!), by the talented Erin of

Here’s a couple of fun facts about Erin

• She’s been a makeup artist pretty much since she first tried her Mum’s lipstick (her personal favourite is ‘Girl About Town’ by ); and a hair stylist for 7 years

• Her favourite couch-time snack is wine and honey soy chicken chips

• What she loves about being a Hair & Makeup Artist is all the different places and faces she gets to go to and meet. She loves making people feel amazing and seeing their expression when they see themselves in the mirror

• She is Mum to a 2 year old daughter and, has a pretty hunky hubby

• Her dream wedding location would be in the middle of a forest
